The director of Adolescence has opened up about the song used in the finale of the show, and the heartbreaking detail about who sang it.
The series has taken Netflix by storm as the powerful drama shows the devastating impacts of toxic masculinity portrayed online.
It centers on 13-year-old schoolboy Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper), who is arrested for the murder of a female classmate.
The show follows the impacts this has not only on Jamie's life, but the lives of his family, friends, and the police.
Each episode is shot in a single take which adds to the drama, as you watch the story unfold in real time.
The first episode follows Jamie as he has been arrested, while the second follows the detectives looking for evidence at his school.

The third episode is arguably the most harrowing as we watch Jamie sit down with a psychologist and his true character comes to light.
The fourth episode, however, follows Jamie's family, particularly his dad Eddie (Stephen Graham) - and how the events have impacted their lives.
The emotional final shot shows Eddie crying on his son's bed as he apologizes for letting him down, clearly feeling a sense of guilt that his son is a murderer.
As the series comes to a close, an emotional rendition of Aurora's 'Through the Eyes of a Child' begins to play.
The song is about the loss of (and subsequent longing for) a “childlike soul" - something that rings true throughout the show.

The show's director, Philip Barantini, has sat down with Netflix's Tudum where he revealed more details about the song.
After hearing the song for the first time, Barantini said: "I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s just absolutely incredible."
It became even more poignant as Barantini revealed that the actress Emilia Holliday, who played the murder victim Katie, was the one who sang the song for the show.
"The voice in the score is Katie’s voice,” Barantini said.
“Katie is a part of the whole series,” he added. “Her presence is always there.”
Stephen Graham, who is also a co-writer, revealed that the show was inspired by the 262 people who were stabbed to death in England and Wales between 2023 and 2024, and the devastating impact on their families.
"There was an incident where a young boy [allegedly] stabbed a girl. It shocked me," the 51-year-old told Tudum. "It shocked me. I was thinking, ‘What’s going on? What’s happening in society where a boy stabs a girl to death? What’s the inciting incident here?’
"And then it happened again, and it happened again, and it happened again. I really just wanted to shine a light on it, and ask, ‘Why is this happening today? What’s going on? How have we come to this?'" he added.
