The new year celebrations are finally winding down, and plenty of people are still lying in bed trying to get over a major hangover. Although some of us are going back to work, there are some people who are taking the last of their vacation time out to enjoy their favorite TV shows in the comfort of their own homes.
Indeed, if you're a big fan of the hit sitcom Friends (which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary) then you might be excited by the fact that it's now 2020 - since that year was actually referenced in an episode of the show.
Take a look at the classic Friends scene here:The episode in question is the fourth episode of season ten, in which the cast records a birthday message for little baby Emma, with Chandler Bing telling the little tot: "Hi, Emma. It's the year 2020. Are you still enjoying your nap?"
However, in a hilarious reference to the episode, the actress who played baby Emma has taken to social media to reply to Chandler's message at long last.
Actress Noelle Sheldon shared a photoshopped picture of herself enjoying a coffee in Central Perk cafe, which she captioned: "Just woke up from the best nap of all time, happy 2020!! (ft. my poorly done photoshop). Hope everyone has an excellent year full of family, friends, and laughter! [sic]"
But this isn't the only awesome Friends throwback we've seen lately. Recently, Jennifer Aniston christened her own Instagram account by posting a heartwarming selfie with the rest of the cast.
In an adorable pic alongside Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry. Aniston captioned the picture: "And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM [sic]."
I have a feeling that we'll all still be watching this show in 2030.
