Potter-heads and Netflix users, your time has come!
Yes, it is time to dust off the Sorting Hat and wave your wands in magical glee as 17.
Oh, and don't worry about having to wait days, weeks, or even months to once again enter the Wizarding World, because it is happening TOMORROW.
This is not a drill, people! The Philosopher's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban, The Goblet of Fire, The Order of Phoenix, The Half-Blood Prince, and both Deathly Hallows movies are dropping on Wednesday, May 17.
However - and this is where I disappoint a good number of you - the movies are only dropping for subscribers in the UK and Ireland.
Tweeting on Tuesday from the official Netflix UK & Ireland account, the streaming platform announced: "All 8 Harry Potter films come to Netflix UK/IE tomorrow!!"
And, as you'd probably expect from Harry Potter fans (ever the cool, calm, and collected bunch), the response was nothing but pure joy.
"I’m in heaven," one person tweeted in response, and another joked: "WHERE WAS THIS WHEN I WAS HUNGOVER ON THURSDAY?!"
A third commented: "It might be time for a binge watch on my day off."
The wildly popular movies - based on the books written by J. K. Rowling - captivated audiences all over the world, and went on to gross a monumental $7.75 billion (if you add together each movie's box office total).
They spawned a wave of fan fiction, spin-off movies/books, a stage show, theme parks, merchandise, and more!
And this news also comes as HBO Max and Discovery+ recently announced that a Harry Potter TV series is on the way.
Watch the announcement below:The two companies have combined to create a new service called Max, and during a press release they stated the new series will be "a faithful adaptation of the beloved Harry Potter book series by author and executive producer, J.K. Rowling."
While revealing that the series will span over the course of a decade, Max has vowed to produce it in a way that honors the books and what Harry Potter fans have come to love over the years.
Given that the announcement trailer involves the original movie score and Hogwarts looks the way we know it, it would seem that the series will be faithful to the movies and books.
"We are delighted to give audiences the opportunity to discover Hogwarts in a whole new way," the CEO of HBO and Max content, Casey Bloys said in a press release. "Harry Potter is a cultural phenomenon and it is clear there is such an enduring love and thirst for the Wizarding World. In partnership with Warner Bros."
So, I'm off to book tomorrow as annual leave, mentally prepare myself before I eat my body weight in Bertie Bots Every Flavour Beans, and start homebrewing my own Butter Beer - because there's no way I'm leaving my sofa tomorrow.
