Viewers of Virgin Island were treated to an uncomfortable moment as they watched a man have sex for the first time.
TV sure is weird these days, isn't it?
The show, which featured a dozen men and women aged 22 to 30 who had never had sex, placed the group on a tropical island to explore intimacy with the help of 'sex surrogates'.
And while the entire series was filled with vulnerability and personal growth, the final episode delivered a moment that shocked many: one contestant officially lost their virginity.
Yes, you read that right. Accountant Dave became the first - and only - cast member to lose his virginity during the show. In the final episode, he entered the island’s "zen den" with sex surrogate Kat, and what happened next was... well, intimate.
Although the cameras didn’t show explicit footage, viewers could hear the couple's interaction while the screen cut to scenic views of the island.
When the cameras returned to the room, Dave and Kat were seen in bed, sharing a quiet moment and reflecting on what had just occurred.
Dave told Kat that he enjoyed the experience, to which she responded: "I feel good about being the person with him at that important moment."
Social media lit up after the episode aired, with viewers celebrating Dave’s milestone.
"Dave's only gone and done it," one viewer wrote, while another posted: "BEEN ROOTING FOR THIS GUY."

Ben Harris, a fellow Virgin Island cast member, added to the praise: "Can we all give a massive shout out to Big Dave, the King of #VirginIsland."
While Dave was the only one to lose his virginity during filming, the adventure didn’t end when the cameras stopped rolling.
Since leaving Virgin Island, Dave has been in a relationship for six months.
The show’s participants reportedly kept in touch through a group chat where they shared updates on their post-island experiences, per the Sun.

Holly revealed she has also had sex since the show ended. "I messaged the chat almost as soon as it happened. I was excited to tell them," she said.
As for the others, most are still waiting for that moment, but a few romantic sparks did fly after the island.
Emma and Viraj went on a date but ultimately decided not to pursue a relationship. Meanwhile, Louisa and Jason are planning a date, and she seems optimistic about their chemistry: she says she reckons he could "laugh the pants off you".
