Gillian Anderson has declared that "God is a woman" after a rare form of cloud appeared in the sky above Turkey.
One of the simple pleasures in life is sitting back and basking in a glorious sunrise or sunset as the colors of the sky change to a vibrant shade of orange and pink.
Mixed with the classic game of finding clouds that resemble other things, staring up at the sky can offer a lot of natural beauty, and sometimes it just has to be photographed.
This is exactly what the residents of Bursa in Turkey encountered on Thursday (January 19) when they looked up at the morning sky and were met with a beautiful sunrise.
After residents shared images of the captivating colors and one particularly intriguing cloud on social media, many who saw the images agreed that the cloud resembled female genitalia (and let's face it, it does).
Actress Gillian Anderson, star of the hit Netflix series Sex Education, was tagged in the image by a Twitter user and the 54-year-old made her thoughts on the cloud known.
Evidently agreeing that the cloud resembled a vagina, Anderson said: "Now if that isn’t a sign I don’t know what is [...] (That God is a woman)."
She also used the hashtag #YoniOfTheUniverse, which is a nod to her character in Sex Education who refers to a Yoni, which is a Sanskrit word in Hinduism and is the symbol of the goddess Shakti and reportedly displays the feminine generative power.
Fans of Anderson's took to the comments, with some referencing her work in the X-Files, claiming that the bizarre-looking cloud could potentially be a UFO.
One person even edited the image of the cloud and added the caption: "The truth is out there," which could be referencing UFOs or the claim that God is indeed a woman.
However, as per the New York Post, Turkey’s State Meteorological Service was on hand to inform those speculating about what the cloud could be that it is actually a rare "lenticular cloud."
The clouds most often form in winter, and usually occur due to strong wind fluctuations over wind and mountains.
Despite the scientific explanation, that didn't stop some Twitter users from joking about the cloud's appearance, with one user joking: "I should call her."
For anyone experiencing a tough breakup, it would hurt that even nature won't give a moment of peace.
