John Wick might be one of the most well-known names in the world of action movies, but it's only called such because Keanu Reeves kept calling it the wrong name.
Until now, it was not common knowledge that the assassin was actually meant to be called Scorn. It doesn't quite have the same ring, does it?
For one reason or another, Keanu just kept calling his character John Wick, and eventually, the movie's creators went along with it.
If you haven't seen it yet, this is the trailer for John Wick: Parabellum:

In an interview with Comicbook.com, writer Derek Kolstead said: "The only reason it's called John Wick is that Keanu kept referring to it as John Wick."
"Marketing was like, 'Dude, that's four to five million dollars in free advertising so far, so it's John Wick instead of Scorn.' I can't imagine it being Scorn now."
Now, in case your memory needs refreshing, the first film in the franchise was released back in 2014, and it begins with its titular character seeking revenge after his dog is killed.
Two more movies have been released since then, John Wick: Chapter 2 in 2017 and John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum last year.
A fourth installment in the series is currently in the works, but like so many other productions, its progress has been halted as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, per the Metro.
This comes after Keanu Reeves was spotted filming the 'Matrix 4' as fans got their first glimpse of Neo earlier this year.
For his role in the Matrix and John Wick 4, Keanu is teaming up once again with Taran Butler, an American sport shooter, and world champion.
A post on Taran Tactical's Instagram page said: "I'm thinking he's back - Chapter 4. Keanu starting his training for John Wick 4 & Matrix 4."
In an interview with PewPewTactical, Butler said working with Reeves was "so good" because he always gives things 100%.

Butler said: "Keanu came out, and keep in mind I've trained other actors, and usually they just want like three or four hours of training one day so they don't have some dorky cup-and-saucer grip or something else stupid and blow it."
"Keanu wanted to be next level," he continued. "He's kinda never satisfied, and you can see that in some of the YouTube videos where he wants to go again, try and go faster, get better and better, and that attitude is why he's so good."
