Johnny Depp was accompanied by a mystery red-haired woman as he arrived for rehearsals at the Arena Santa Giuliana in Italy.

The 59-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star is currently overseas on tour with guitarist Jeff Beck and was seen heading to rehearsals for the Umbria Jazz Festival over the weekend.

Many fans on social media speculated about whether the red-haired woman was Depp's new girlfriend.

It has now been revealed by TMZ that she is his French teacher for his upcoming film, Jeanne du Barry.

The outlet reported that they have a "strictly professional relationship" and that she is helping him perfect the language for his first film in three years.

In the new movie, Depp will play Louis XV, which tells the true story of a seamstress' daughter who went on to become the last mistress of King Louis XV in the 18th century.

While Depp is on the road, he has plenty of time for French lessons as he and his teacher were also spotted arriving at Gardone Riviera on Monday (July 18) for a performance at the Vittoriale with Beck.

This news comes after a judge denied Depp's former wife, Amber Heard's motion to have the verdict of her defamation trial against him thrown out and re-tried.

The 36-year-old Aquaman actress' legal team filed a motion earlier this month on the grounds that the verdict that she had defamed Depp was not backed by evidence.

The lawyers also made an allegation that a juror had not been properly vetted and examined whether they were even supposed to be allowed on the jury.

Court documents obtained by USA Today disclosed that Judge Penny Azcarate denied all of Heard's post-trial requests on Wednesday (July 13).

"Defendant Amber Laura Heard's Post-Trial Motions I through VI are DENIED for the reasons stated on the record," Azcarate's order read.

On June 1, seven jurors found that both celebrities defamed each other, however, the cards fell largely in the Fantastic Beasts actor's favor.

Depp was awarded $10.4 million in damages from Heard, while she was awarded just $2 million in damages from her former husband from her countersuit.
