Justin Timberlake has taken to Instagram to post a heartfelt message to his wife, Jessica Biel, leaving fans less than impressed.
Now, in case your memory needs refreshing, the 39-year-old singer caused a scandal last year when he was pictured holding his co-star Alisha Wainwright's hand on the set of the American football drama film, Palmer, in pictures obtained by the Sun.
However, at the time, Timberlake protested that it was a simple lapse of judgment in a public apology, and insisted that he did not cheat on his wife with the 30-year-old.

Taking to Instagram to celebrate his wife's birthday, Timberlake shared a sweet picture of the couple that was captioned: "Happy Birthday to the LOVE of my life... A new adventure every day and a treasure to me. I can't wait to share many more of these with you. Thanks for putting up with me when I smell funky after a round of golf or, when I smell funky in general. You are the mostest of the mostest, my love! I adore you [sic]."

However, after Timberlake was pictured holding another woman's hand, people struggled to take his seemingly loving post seriously.
One Instagram user wrote: "I thought y'all were getting a divorce."

A second questioned: "What was that hand holding shizzzz then, cowboy? [sic]"

A third wrote: "this is some baby back bullshit, boi [sic]."

A fourth then scolded Timberlake for trying to show his love online, saying that he should do it in person: "You take another woman's hand privately when you are sooooo in love?? Sorry but you have to show it to Jessica not IG [sic]."

A fifth added: "Mmmmm not buying it but ok."

Meanwhile, a sixth questioned: "Was she the love of your life when you were holding that other girl's hand[?]"

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, Wainwright also denied that she was romantically involved with Timberlake. Her rep said: "There is no validity to this speculation. They are working on a project together."
Despite this, Timberlake was similarly slammed after he left a flirty comment on his wife's Instagram picture in December.
