While we know an awful lot about Stormi Webster's famous family and what photoshop can do to her fingernails; we're a little more uncertain about how Kylie Jenner is finding motherhood. Up until now, updates on the newborn, who was born on February 1st, have either come from sources or interviews with Kylie's mum, Kris Jenner. The beauty mogul has not done any interviews since the birth of her first child with Travis Scott.
Her most extended statement on Stormi was in her birth announcement post. "I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions, I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys," the 20-year-old wrote on Instagram.
"My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how. There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.
"Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life, and I’m actually going to miss it. I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could. My beautiful and healthy baby girl arrived February 1st and I just couldn’t wait to share this blessing. I’ve never felt love and happiness like this I could burst! Thank you for understanding."
However, Kylie Jenner returned to Twitter yesterday to lament the latest Snapchat update, and to give a brief update on Stormi, who is less than a month old. "Sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me... ugh this is so sad," she wrote.
A fan then replied to Kylie's initial tweet and asked her how Stormi was doing. The Lip Kit guru replied by saying that the baby is doing well, and left two smiley faces that just say everything. "She's good," Kylie tweeted. "Still staring at her all day. She looks just like me when I was a baby".
This comes amid reports that baby daddy Travis Scott wants to shield his daughter from the limelight, and has even "begged" Kylie to keep Stormi off her family's reality television show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
A source close to the Butterfly Effect singer told Hollywood Life that while Travis "is happy that Stormi has so many advantages out of the gate being the daughter of two high-profile parents," his wish is that she has "as much of a normal life as possible in the celebrity bubble she is in".
"That is why he would love for Stormi never to be on TV but he knows that the likelihood of that happening is pretty much impossible."
"Its something that is not causing friction with Kylie yet, but it's definitely been conversed about on many occasions because they both have different ideas of how they want to parent," the source added.
