A Malaysian couple with a massive age gap are proving to the world that age is just a number.
Rokiah Samat, 62, married Sabahan Muhamad Amin Jumdail, then 27, in an intimate ceremony, and just a year later, have shared their journey via a local news outlet.
Posting their love story to TikTok, the New Straits Times delved into the couple's details, sharing that Samat was born in 1961 while her husband was born over three decades later in 1995.
But the gap hadn't fazed the two and instead, they welcomed their blossoming love after initially meeting on the video-sharing platform.
Samat had been married twice before meeting Jumdail with her first marriage lasting over 20 years while her second, only two.
Now she's ready to stay committed to her third husband until the end.
"Even though he is much younger, I am confident that my husband will be able to take care of me until the end of my life, and I hope this is my last marriage," local outlet Harian Metro quoted her as saying.
"I believe she’s my jodoh (match) as intended by Allah," Jumdail added as per the outlet.
The pair started as friends, but the husband revealed that his feelings soon deepened.
"She’s not a famous entrepreneur or anything like that, just a regular person," the Semporna native told the Malay Mail.
They continued to get to know each other, video chatting every single day as well as exchanging text messages in between and it wasn't long until Jumdail decided to go and meet the love of his life in real life.
The duo met in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan and quickly decided that they were meant to be.
"I finally met her on my birthday, which was on 10 January last year, at her house," he said.
After gaining the approval of their families, the pair got engaged and just two months later in September 2022, they tied the knot.
"I’m 62 years old but I feel like l’m 40," Samat stated.
The 62-year-old has ten children, the eldest being 45 and the youngest 18, as well as 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Videos of the couple have now garnered traction on TikTok, with one of them even gaining over 2.5 million views.
Hundreds also took to the comments to commend the pair and their story.
The clips contained beautiful photos of the lovers during their union, both of them smiling with their arms wrapped around each other.
When speaking of her husband, she said: "He’s a good man, responsible, patient and very caring."
And the 28-year-old is also feeling the love.
"She’s also a good cook. My favourite is her fish head curry," he said. "She’s my soulmate, my missing rib. Despite the difference in age, our life together is peaceful, we’re very happy."
