Mike Tyson won't face charges over an incident last month, in which he allegedly punched a fellow passenger on a flight.
A California prosecutor announced on Tuesday that he would not be taking legal action against the former world heavyweight boxing champion, ABC News reports.
The incident occurred on April 20, on a plane at San Francisco International Airport. Tyson and his fellow passengers on the JetBlue flight were waiting to take off for Florida, when a passenger behind the boxing champ tried to start a conversation with him.
In a recording of the moment obtained by TMZ Sport, the passenger can be seen repeatedly talking to Tyson. After a while, Tyson becomes annoyed; the video shows him standing up and physically engaging the other passenger over the back of his seat. Later in the clip, the passenger can be seen with blood on his forehead.
At the time, representatives for Tyson made a statement to The Associated Press, which explained the situation from his perspective. "Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat," it read.
Eventually, authorities arrived and detained both Tyson and his adversary. An investigation was opened into the incident - but it looks like it won't be taken any further.
"Our decision is that we will not file any charges against Mr. Tyson based on the circumstances surrounding the confrontation," San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said in a statement.
"These include the conduct of the victim leading up to the incident, the interaction between Mr. Tyson and the victim, as well as the requests of both the victim and Mr. Tyson that no charges be filed in this case. We now deem this case closed," Wagstaffe added.

In a joint statement, Tyson's attorneys David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld and Martin A. Sabelli thanked the District Attorney for his thorough investigation.
They also thanked all the law enforcement agencies involved for their careful, diligent, and professional work.
