In the message, the Grammy-award-winning artist talked about her relationship:
"Listen y’all, I’m just a crazy b***h. You know how I be arguing with y’all on social media? That’s exactly how we are, between me and my man. So when people be saying I be doing s**t for attention, with this and that? No: I’m just a crazy b***h." [sic]"

Cardi continued:
"People been saying that I took him back like I’m materialistic. I do like material things, I like material things and everything, but I just didn’t... What do you want me to do? The n***a gave me a Rolls-Royce and I snub him. [sic]"

She added:
"One day I’m happy, the next day I want to beat him the f**k up. It’s really hard not to talk to your best friend, and it’s really hard to have no d**k. We’re just really typical, two young motherf***ers who got married early, that’s what we are. [sic]"
"We’re not no different than y’all f**ing dysfunctional-*ss relationship. We are the same way. [sic]”

Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in September 2020. According to court documents obtained by E! News, she told her legal team that her marriage was "irretrievably broken" with "there are no prospects for a reconciliation."
The couple was first married in a secret ceremony in September of 2017, but split in December of 2018, after Offset (real name: Kiari Cepheus) allegedly cheated on her. Offset publicly begged his wife for forgiveness, and the pair reconciled shortly thereafter.

In an interview with Vogue. on the subject of her marriage, Cardi stated:
"When me and my husband got into our issues - you know, he cheated and everything - and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me."
"But it's real-life s***. If you love somebody and you stop being with them, and you're depressed and social media is telling you not to talk to that person because he cheated, you're not really happy on the inside until you have the conversation."
