Super Bowl viewers have been making some serious allegations against singer Charlie Puth following his performance of the US national anthem.
Puth was on the field singing The Star-Spangled Banner, but some people think they noticed something not quite right.
Charlie Puth, Green Day, and Bad Bunny are performing at Super Bowl LX
Ahead of the big game in Santa Clara, there has already been enough controversy about the musical guests.
First up, Bad Bunny was selected for the half-time show, much to the annoyance of Donald Trump and Turning Point USA.
Trump even said that he wouldn’t attend the game as a result of the choice of mid-game performer.
He wouldn’t exactly have enjoyed the others, either.
Green Day were chosen to open the coverage and decided to use that platform to share their own discontent at the state of the USA right now.
Not that they’ve ever needed an excuse, but it was obvious what they were going to do, right?
Of course they played American Idiot in front of everyone, leaving many viewers shocked that they were able to get away with it.
Then, up stepped Charlie Puth for the national anthem, and he followed suit with some controversy of his own.
Luckily for the NFL, this controversy wasn’t political - it was to do with his voice.
Charlie Puth accused of lip-syncing The Star-Spangled Banner
Some people were worried that Puth - an accomplished performer and musician - might not have been singing live.
One person said: “Seemed like charlie puth was lip syncing the national anthem.
“Anyone else have the same suspicions?
“It was too perfect. Not one little note was off.”
Dunno, maybe he was just really good?
Another person said: “We've gone too far! Lip syncing the national anthem?
“This used to be an honor to sing it... F*** Charlie Puth.
“Embarrassing.”
A third said: “Charlie Puth definitely lip syncing what a fraud.”
So, was he actually lip-syncing, or performing live note-perfect?
We’ll probably never know, but many people were convinced it wasn’t as presented.
One thing is for sure, it won't be the last musical controversy of the night, with Bad Bunny's half-time show, as well as Turning Point USA's alternative 'All-American' half-time show featuring Kid Rock yet to take place.
If the biggest news from those events is someone not singing live, it will be a massive surprise.
