Pop superstar Taylor Swift has revealed that her mother Andrea Swift has been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.

Taylor revealed a few years ago that her mother, who is also beloved by her many fans, was unwell, and her song 'Soon You’ll Get Better' was allegedly written as a response to her mom's health. But now she says that doctors found a brain tumor while her mother was undergoing chemotherapy for the second time.

In a candid interview with Variety, Taylor opened up about h0w difficult her mother's diagnosis and treatment has been for her family, stating: "We don’t know what is going to happen. We don’t know what treatment we’re going to choose. It just was the decision to make at the time, for right now, for what’s going on."

In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, Taylor told the host a touching anecdote about her mom:

She continued: "She was going through chemo, and that’s a hard enough thing for a person to go through ... While she was going through treatment, they found a brain tumor. And the symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we’ve ever been through with her cancer before. So it’s just been a really hard time for us as a family."

She added: "Everyone loves their mom; everyone’s got an important mom. But for me, she’s really the guiding force. Almost every decision I make, I talk to her about it first. So obviously it was a really big deal to ever speak about her illness."

However, despite her illness, Andrea and Taylor still enjoy each other's company as a mother and daughter, and recently she told Jimmy Fallon a hilarious anecdote about how her mom recorded her during surgery.
