The Mighty Ducks star Shaun Weiss has revealed that he is now an advocate for recovering addicts as he labels it his "proudest achievement".
The former child star broke fans' hearts across the world after he was arrested for possession of methamphetamine in 2017 and his mug shot appeared across social media.
The star who played Greg Goldberg, the goalkeeper of the ice hockey team, was pictured looking a shell of his former self and there was concern for his wellbeing.
In 2020, a new mug shot was posted where the star looked as if his condition had further deteriorated as he battled his addiction.

Last month the star sat down with the Daily Star where he opened up about his addictions and how he slipped into this bad lifestyle.
"Show business became my Achilles heel in the fact that there was always so much going on and everything was so exciting," Weiss told the outlet. "I kind of became addicted to the adrenaline of things going on. So when that went away, life became very boring for me.
"That kind of led to a different depression. When that lifestyle wasn't there anymore, I didn't, you know how to fill that void. My fiancee left me and I lost my mind. I couldn’t f***ing deal with it. My father had died, I guess a month or two prior. The lease on my apartment was running out."
Following the avalanche of bad circumstances, Weiss adopted drugs as his vice and this became a slippery slope which resulted in homelessness and crime.

Thankfully, the star has turned his life around and is well on the road to recovery and is now using his position to influence others who strayed down the same path he did.
Posting on Instagram, Weiss is looking much healthier and is holding up a lanyard that reveals he is now an advocate for recovering addicts at Quest Recovery.
Captioning the post, the 44-year-old penned: "My proudest accomplishment."
It's safe to say that many agree with him, as one person commented: "Of all the saves you’ve done in a duck’s jersey, saving your life was your best save yet."
A second person added: "That’s so cool! Super happy for you and will never get enough of seeing people succeed in their recovery."
We are so proud of Weiss for turning his life around!
