Nick Cannon explains why he doesn't pay mothers of his children a 'monthly allowance'

Just when you thought it was over, here's another Nick Cannon headline for you!

The 42-year-old has apparently made it clear that none of his baby mamas - of whom he has six - are receiving any type of allowance outside of his monthly child support payments.

To quickly recap - Cannon, 42, is already a father to 12 children. He shares sons Rise Messiah, 11 weeks, and five-year-old Golden Sagon, as well as 23-month-old daughter Powerful Queen with model Brittany Bell. Model Brie Tiesi has five-month-old Legendary Love with Cannon, and model LaNisha Cole has a three-month-old daughter named Onyx Ice Cole with the TV personality.

But wait, there's more. He also shares three children with DJ Abby De La Rosa - seven-week-old daughter Beautiful Zeppelin and twins Zion and Zillion, 18 months. Model Alyssa Scott has a seven-month daughter to Cannon, Halo Marie. Their son, Zen, sadly passed away in December 2021 from brain cancer. Mariah Carey also has two children with Cannon, 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan. Phew!

Now, he's taken to popular radio show Hot 104.1 to reveal that none of the women receive a "set amount" or monthly allowance from him. "I don’t give myself that [guideline]. What they need, they get it," Cannon said.

"There's never been something that one of the mothers of my children has asked for and they didn't receive," he further clarified.

Though, talk of Cannon's financial situation isn't anything new. In fact, late last year, Cannon was forced to respond to a rumor that he pays the mothers of his children a whopping $3 million a year in child support.

The mind-boggling figure came from Goldie Schon, a practicing family law attorney from California, who told The Sun US: "When you have somebody like Nick Cannon, who's an extremely high-income earner, the courts in California have the right to deviate from the typical child support guidelines."

Schon then added that Cannon's yearly income would be taken into account by the courts, saying: "If he is taking home somewhere upward of $5 million a year, you have to look at what it would take to have the children kept in the lifestyle of both parents.

"Dad is clearly a public figure and makes a substantial income. The lifestyle has to be the same with mom as it is with dad."

Though, despite Schon's expertise on Cannon's financial situation, the TV personality responded to her estimates, claiming to The Neighborhood Talk: "I definitely spend a lot more than that on my children annually.

"I don't plan to ever have to participate in the governmental system," he added.

Well, there you have it! Not only is he generous with producing offspring, but he's generous with his coin as well!
