Ava Phillippe has opened up about her sexuality.
The 22-year-old daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe hosted an 'Ask Me Anything' Q&A with fans on Instagram last week.
In one of the questions posed by curious fans, Ava was asked: "Do u like boys or girls?"
Wasting no time responding to the question, the daughter of Legally Blonde star Reese wrote back: "I'm attracted to… people! (Gender is whatever)," she wrote alongside a smiley selfie in blue eyeshadow that she shared with her 996,000 Instagram followers.
Ava previously made her relationship Instagram official with college boyfriend Owen Mahoney in 2019, after they met at UC Berkeley.
Mahoney has since earned her mom's approval and even joined the family on a tropical vacation last summer.
Reese, 45, who also shares son Deacon, 18, with ex-husband Ryan, 47, previously opened up about the complexities of raising her kids in the spotlight during an interview with InStyle.
"It's an odd situation because I didn't grow up famous. So [Ava is] living an experience that I did not have, and so are my sons," she said in November.
"We are lucky enough to have friends who grew up in Hollywood and can help give them advice on how to navigate.
"Ava is so down-to-earth. She wants to do great things in the world. She's studying and learning and trying to find herself. It's a big thing in life to try different things and figure out what is really your path," Reese added.
The Morning Show star also shares nine-year-old son Tennessee James with husband Jim Toth, 51, whom she married in 2011.
Reese celebrated Ava's 22nd birthday in September with a heartfelt tribute on social media. "Happy Birthday to my sweet little girl…excuse me… I mean my adult daughter!!! Words can't describe how proud I am of you," Reese wrote.
"You have grown into an extraordinary person who cares so much about the world around her. I am so lucky to have you light up my life. I love you, Ava!!"
