Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's divorce has been hitting the headlines this past week, but fans believe that the Game of Thrones actress may have trolled her estranged husband with a Taylor Swift reference weeks before their split.

The couple, who share two daughters, announced they were parting ways on September 6, sharing a joint statement that read: "Statement from the two of us: After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.

"There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children."

The pair have since been at loggerheads after Sophie filed a lawsuit asking for the return of their children to the UK, while Joe's reps stated that it would go against the Florida court order relating to their divorce if he were to send the kids abroad at this stage.

After the split was announced, Sophie raised eyebrows after she was seen grabbing dinner with Taylor - who also happens to be one of Joe's exes.

Taylor's song 'Mr Perfectly Fine', a Vault track from her album Fearless in 2021, is widely believed to have been written about her romance with Joe, which took place for a couple of months in 2008.

So when Sophie and Taylor were spotted on a night out together shortly after news of the divorce broke, pretty much everyone was dying to be a fly on the wall.

In the wake of the divorce announcement, fans scoured Sophie's social media and soon found another Taylor Swift reference, believing she was trolling her singer husband at a recent show.

The post, which was shared on August 14 - a day before Joe's 34th birthday, which was supposedly a catalyst for their break-up after they allegedly argued on the day - shows Sophie attending a Jonas Brothers concert.

In the carousel, she shared a sweet snap of her kissing her husband's hand as they walked together, some snaps in his dressing room, as well as a stack of bracelets on her arm.

Fans were quick to spot that the bracelets spelled out a variety of things, including 'Sansa Jonas' - referring to her GOT character Sansa Stark - as well as 'Mr Perfectly Fine'.

At the time of the release, Joe had begun trending on social media and Sophie even shared a screenshot of her listening to the track on her Instagram story.

She joked at the time: "I mean it’s not NOT a bop," before Taylor re-shared it, adding: "Forever bending the knee to the [queen] of the north."

Currently, Sophie and Joe are still working through their separation following Sophie filing a lawsuit for the return of their children to the UK.

Here's hoping the two of them can sort it out amicably.
