Gisele Bündchen has responded to her ex-husband Tom Brady's announcement that he'll be retiring - for good this time.

On Wednesday, 45-year-old Brady took to Instagram to share the news that he is finally leaving the sport after 23 seasons.

The legendary quarterback confirmed in a video that when his final season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers comes to a close, he will retire from the NFL.

He said in the video: "Good morning guys. I’ll get to the point right away. I’m retiring. For good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time so when I woke up this morning I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first.

"I won’t be long-winded, you only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year. So, I really thank you guys, so much, to every single one of you for supporting me.

"My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever, there’s too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing. Love you all."

Now, 42-year-old Bündchen, who in October filed for divorce from Brady - her husband of 13 years - has broken her silence regarding the sports star's decision to announce his retirement yet again.

"Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life," the Brazilian supermodel wrote in a comment under the post, including a prayer hands emoji.

A number of fellow celebs have also weighed in on the news, with Kate Hudson writing: "I know I can say this for my whole fam, it’s been an honor to watch such a phenomenal career. You brought us all much joy for so many years. Welcome to the next chapter, may it bring as many blessings as the last two decades."

Serena Williams penned: "I’m getting teary eyed watching this. Sad to see you go. Welcome to the retirement world…. Again."

Brady and Bündchen share two children together, a son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 12. In February 2022, the seven-time Super Bowl winner made his first retirement announcement, but returned to the NFL the following month.

The blonde beauty had shared her concerns over Brady continuing to play football, telling Elle in September: "I have my concerns. This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present."

She added: "I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom]. I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams.

"Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed, and being fulfilled in his career - it makes me happy. At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that."
