A mom's interview with a local news station went viral after she sent a stark warning out to other parents about letting their kids watch Disney's Hocus Pocus 2.
Now, with it being spooky season, you would think that everyone's getting themselves in the mood to watch a few spooky Halloween-inspired flicks, except for one woman in Texas who is seemingly fearful about the messages behind them.
Last year, Disney released the sequel to the cult Disney favorite, Hocus Pocus, and while many were excited to watch the movie, mom Jamie Gooch was dreading it.
Speaking to KWTX last October, she opened up about the subliminal messaging behind the storyline, emphasizing the dangers of
"[unleashing] hell on your kids and in your home."
"Do not watch this film," she said. "Everybody thinks it’s fake and innocent, but they could be casting any type of spell that they want to, anything could be coming through that TV screen into your home."
"The whole movie is based on witches harvesting children for blood sacrifices," she added.
The mom-of-three, who is a devout Christian, took to Facebook to discuss the issue further, though the post has since been removed. But that hasn't stopped her from speaking out on the issue.
"I love everything to do with house and home, I love creating a safe environment for my family and friends to come into, I believe everything starts here, it all starts at home," she told the outlet. "So beware - and be aware - of what we’re bringing into our homes and our everyday lives, my husband and our children should be experiencing something different here in our home than they’re experiencing out in the world."

Gooch also went on to state that she believes that there's some sort of "spiritual war" being waged against Americans.
"We have not participated in Halloween in about four or five years, it’s just now how we live our lives," she said. "It grieves me, the thought of exposing our kids to darkness."
While her post may have been focused on Hocus Pocus 2, the mom stressed that this extends further than just a movie, or a celebration.
"I think it goes further than just a movie, it goes further than Halloween, it’s a year-round thing, we constantly need to be cautious of what we’re consuming, what we’re bringing in and what we’re sending out," she told the publication.
"I believe whatever comes in our TV screens: there are things attached to that, I’ve seen for myself the things that I’ve watched with my eyes or heard over a TV screen, they’ve become manifested in real life, and then I think 'oh my gosh, what did I consume?'" she added.

Gooch also said that her opinions have elicited a strong, and sometimes negative reaction from others. But she also saw a lot of support come her way too.
"I was a little bit scared when I hit post because I was afraid of the reaction that I would get...the post was for people who’ve been on the fence on the decisions they need to make for their family," she said. "It was wonderful in a sense that a lot of people agreed with me in that they already knew, there were some that didn’t understand, but it was welcomed: tell me your opinion I want to hear where you’re coming from, although it doesn’t change my convictions or what I choose to do with my family."
So guys, maybe cross Hocus Pocus off your list this Halloween, but don't worry, there are a bunch of other movies you can watch to get your dose of horror.
