Celebrities are paying tribute to Sandra Bullock's partner, Bryan Randall, who sadly passed away at age 57.
It was reported on Monday (August 7) that the Bird Box actress' partner, Bryan Randall, died three years after being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which is also known as motor neuron disease.
The 57-year-old model turned photographer's family confirmed the devastating news and cause of death in a statement shared with PEOPLE, which read: "It is with great sadness that we share that on Aug. 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS."
They explained that Randall chose to maintain privacy regarding his health battle, stating: "Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private, and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request."

The bereaved family expressed their gratitude to the healthcare professionals that tended to their loved one, noting: "We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours."
"At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan," the statement concluded, signed, "His Loving Family."
Randall first met the 59-year-old actress in 2015 after he photographed her adopted son, Louis, now 13, at a birthday party celebration.
The pair kept their relationship private but made it somewhat official later that year after an appearance at Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's wedding. Then in 2018, they both attended the Oceans 8 World Premiere together in New York City, where they were snapped by paparazzi spending lots of quality time together.
The couple never married but in 2021, Bullock said on the Red Table Talk that he is "the love of my life," and revealed that they co-parent with their children; Louis, Laila, and Randall's child, Skylar Staten.
Soon after the heartbreaking announcement of his death, the Oscar winner's sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, took to Instagram to share a tribute post accompanied by a picture of Randall smiling as he held a cigar.
"I’m convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teaming with salmon," she penned.
While Bullock has never spoken publicly about her partner's health condition, Gesine went on to praise her sister for taking care of him, writing: "ALS is a cruel disease but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home."
The sister concluded her message with "Rest in peace, Bryan" and requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations are made to the ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital.
The post was met with an outpouring of tributes from a number of well-wishers. My Big Fat Greek Wedding star Nia Vardalos commented: "Gesine, I only met him a few times but was always touched by his gentlemanly manners. I'm sorry for your loss. Sending much love to your sister, you, and your family."
"So very sorry," The Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick said. "My deepest condolences to you and your family. Rest In Peace Bryan."
Food Network star Aarti Sequeira also shared her condolences under the post, penning: "I'm so so sorry for your and your sister's loss Gesine. My heart broke when I read the news."

On X, formerly known as Twitter, ABC News personality Deborah Roberts posted a photo of the Blind Side actress with Randall with the caption: "So very sad to hear that actress Sandra Bullock has lost her partner in love and life."
"Bryan Randall died after a quiet battle with ALS. He was only 57. She spoke lovingly of him and his example over the years," Roberts added.
According to Mayo Clinic, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The condition causes loss of muscle control and gets worse over time.
The medical report stated that the fatal disease - which has no cure - often begins with muscle twitching and weakness in an arm or leg, trouble swallowing, or slurred speech. It then eventually leads to a lack of control of the muscles needed to move, speak, eat, and breathe.
Bullock is yet to speak publicly about his death.
Our thoughts are with Randall's family and friends at this time.
