There are plenty of ways to make money on the internet these days - but what if you could generate some income while getting your eight hours sleep in?

This is what some people do on the streaming platform Twitch, which is mainly used for gaming streams but other people use it to simply chat to their audience - or in this case, have a snooze.

Amouranth, 29, is one of the site's most popular figures with over six million people following her, and she now makes her living via Twitch, OnlyFans, and other business ventures.

Watching someone sleep might seem creepy, but it seems like there's a big audience for it as Amouranth, whose real name is Kaitlyn Siragusa, revealed on the Iced Coffee Hour podcast.

Graham Stephan, one of the hosts alongside Jack Selby, was amazed that somebody could generate income while being asleep, and Amouranth revealed just how much she makes.

"If you count just on Twitch, probably like a couple of thousand dollars," Amouranth said. "But, if you count the conversions, potentially, to OnlyFans, while I’m sleeping, then maybe like $10,000-$15,000."

She explained that the money can be raised by people donating during the stream to set off alerts in an attempt to wake the streamer up.

As everyone is probably questioning, why doesn't the streamer record herself sleeping every night and just live off the income? Well, according to the 29-year-old, scheduling issues can make it tricky.

"Scheduling gets complicated because I might have a photo shoot the next morning or something," she said. "I feel like if you do it too much, it will become no longer a novelty."

Amouranth further detailed her investment streams as Twitch and OnlyFans, as well as making investments into gas stations and real estate.

The streamer has recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with ovarian failure, which is a condition where the ovaries stop working and menstrual periods stop before the age of 40.

This diagnosis meant that she pulled out of a streamers boxing event, and fans aired their disappointment to her, forcing Amouranth to respond.

Taking to Twitter, the 29-year-old said: "I tend to keep my medical stuff private - and I would have kept my current situation out of the public eye but I feel like I owe you all an explanation on account of a few canceled high profile appearances… I was informed in March that I have late-stage ovarian failure.

"I will be undergoing daily injections for 7-14 days during which I will (potentially) suffer from headaches, nausea, and aches, which would be no big deal, and was also warned against high-impact physical activities.

"I found out the seriousness of my diagnosis after I had already agreed to appear in the La Velada boxing event, and decided I would go forward with it and wait to do the injections until AFTER the event so that I could still compete. But due to extreme medical developments, I have to start them today."

Amouranth said that she wished to "box through the symptoms" but her medical team advised otherwise, forcing her to pull out completely.
