Five years from now, when I ask my teenage nephew about
J.K. Rowling, there's a very good chance he'll tell me all about her political work instead of her contributions to the world of literature. It's far from a bad thing, of course. Ever since finishing off the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book in the series, Rowling has been increasingly involved in politics, and American politics in particular.

Piers Morgan, a man capable of uniting millions in pure revilement of him.

As you can probably imagine, all that political work can get pretty tiring, and it's no surprise that the recent negativity of American politics finally got to Rowling. Usually energetic and passionate, she tweeted out to her fans for a pick-me-up, and her drug of choice was, slightly surprisingly, otter photos. Here's what her fans came up with.

Wow, I don't know about Rowling, but I'm feeling a lot better about my day. In the current political landscape, it can be really exhausting just logging onto Twitter or turning on the news, but with otters, I'll always feel a little bit happier. Is it too late to put forth an otter to run for President in 2020?
