On Thursday, Vogue published a 73-question video interview with Kim Kardashian, which was definitely not painfully planned to the point of unintentional comedy. In the footage, Kim welcomes the reporter into her massive home in Hidden Hills, California. She describes the decor as "minimal monastery," which is a fancy way of saying, "white with like nothing inside."
The video features cameos from Kim's mom-ager Kris Jenner, her three adorable children North, Saint and Chicago, plus husband, Kanye West, whose Make America Great Again hat must have been in the wash. When asked what she's taught Yeezy, Kim says, "I've given him, like, really good financial advice on saving." To which he replies, "You've given me some advice but I don't listen it." Oh, you too!
Then, when asked how he knew Kim was 'the one,' Yeezy said, "When I saw her in a paparazzi photo with Paris Hilton." Ah, so romantic!
Anyway, this interview isn't about Kanye. It's about Kim, and she answers some very deep, philosophical questions like, "Is free will real or just an illusion?" "Without religion would people become more, less, or be equally morally corrupt?" And: "If someone you loved was killed in front of you, but someone created a copy of them that was perfect right down to the atomic level, would they be the same person and would you love them just as much?"
Nah, just kidding! The journalist asked slightly easier questions, but nonetheless fascinating. Kim said the most rewarding thing about being a mom is "When the kids tell you they love you." She said the most overused phrase right now is "it's lit," which happens to Kylie Jenner's boyfriend Travis Scott's trademark adlib. (SHOTS FIRED?!) And, when asked what she wished people would focus on, Kim said, "I wish people would not focus on my ass all the time."

That's an interesting answer, since Kim became famous in pop culture for her curvaceous figure. She hasn't been shy about showing off her applebottom on social media, fueling gossip about whether her butt is "real" or enhanced with cosmetic surgery. Most notably, she showed off her posterior in Paper Magazine's 2014 "break the internet" spread, which included a photo of her balancing a glass of champagne on her ass. Impressive!

But there's much more to Kim than her butt. In Vogue's May cover story, she revealed that she is studying to become a lawyer and plans to take the bar exam in 2022. The 38-year-old said she felt inspired after visiting the White House to request a pardon for free Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old great-grandmother serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense.
"The White House called me to advise to help change the system of clemency, and I’m sitting in the Roosevelt Room with, like, a judge who had sentenced criminals and a lot of really powerful people and I just sat there, like, Oh, sh*t. I need to know more," she said.

For those of us of a certain age, it's difficult to remember a time when the Kardashians weren't a part of everyday life. But - as hard as it may be to believe - there was actually a brief (and blissful) part of the 21st century that didn't consist of shoddy photoshops, cheating scandals or public feuds.
But then 2007 rolled around, and the world changed forever.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired its first season in that fateful year, and it was an instant success. Since then, the Kardashian-Jenner family have somehow managed to keep the drama and tension at a constant high - but not everything else has remained the same.
Check out the dramatic trailer for the upcoming 16th season:

Indeed, over the past 12 years, the famous family have evolved quite a bit... and some of them are totally unrecognisable.
5. Kylie Jenner
6. Kris Jenner
It just goes to show: a lot can change in 12 years... especially if you have millions of dollars to spend on your appearance.
Come on, though - let's be real; we may complain about them a lot, but we secretly love the Kardashians (or, at least, we love to hate them), and so we really hope they stick around for at least another 12 years. Roll on the next season of KUWTK!

Kim Kardashian has confessed to being "super desperate" for fame prior to becoming one of the most famous women in the world.
During Keeping Up With The Kardashians: The Reunion, the 40-year-old reality star spoke candidly about how she aspired to be a household name as she recalled how hard she tried to get snapped by the paparazzi.
The mom-of-four, who had once worked as Paris Hilton's personal assistant, even explained exactly how she would seek out the paparazzi, which typically involved frequenting celebrity haunts.
She told the show's host Andy Cohen, per the Daily Mail: "I knew exactly where they were if you wanted to be seen. Anytime I got hair and makeup for the show, there was no way I was going home and washing it off.
"I would stop off at Robertson. I would stop off at The Ivy and would pick up something to go - even if it was just some bread to go. Anything! An empty bag! I would run in and pretend like I left something, like 'Hi, did I leave my glasses here?'"
Kim continued: "I think I can talk about it because it's so funny. I think people need to be more honest about those moments in life when you're just super desperate and want that."
She did, however, deny ever calling the paparazzi on herself, quashing long-running rumors that she and her family had done so in the past.
Prior to her worldwide fame, the socialite appeared in several episodes of The Simple Life as Paris Hilton's personal assistant.
But it was only when her infamous sex tape was leaked in 2007 ahead of the debut of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that she was suddenly thrust into the global spotlight.
During the reunion show, the entrepreneur told Andy that it was "the one thing" she wishes she could take back.
"That is something that I have to live with for the rest of my life," she said. "I try to not live with any regrets, but it’s probably the one thing I wish didn’t exist. If I could erase any of the stupid things I’ve done in life, that’s probably it."

The origin story of Kim Kardashian is known to even the biggest Kardashian-Jenner naysayer. Kim shot to fame in 2007 after a sex tape made by herself and her ex-boyfriend Ray J was leaked, and the tape, which was distributed by Vivid Entertainment, is almost wholly responsible for Kim's celebrity, and the procurement of the family's reality television show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Flash forward ten years and Kim is known as an author, a beauty mogul, and for her business smarts. As such, the 37-year-old was understandably hesitant to respond to her daughter, North West, when she asked her why she's famous.
During an appearance on the Big Boys Neighbourhood radio show yesterday, Kim revealed that she finally had to have a conversation with her oldest child about why she's famous, and she dodged the question as hard as humanly possible.
"[North said] 'Mom, why are you famous?'" Kim told the radio hosts. "Oh... okay, I'm gonna have to explain this. And I'm like, 'We have a TV show. We have a TV show.' And she was like 'Oh, okay.' And that was the first time when she was like 'Oh.'"
The real answer is obviously a sex tape, but a five-year-old doesn't need to know that. And while that infamous tape certainly catapulted Kim into the spotlight, it's not responsible for keeping her there - that's all on her.

Kim has previously asserted that the tape is one of her biggest regrets in life, despite the fact that it helped launch her career.
"You know, I think that’s how I was definitely introduced to the world," she admitted to Oprah back in 2012. "It was a negative way, so I felt like I really had to work 10 times harder to get people to see the real me. I have to live with the choices I have made. And I can’t dwell on it.”
And in an interview with Rolling Stone, Kim spoke about how she was affected in the first few days following the leak. "I just never thought [the rumors about the tape] were real," she disclosed. "I was on a trip to New York, and I’d landed, and then someone called me – maybe my sister? I didn’t have a Blackberry then… I think I went right to my mom’s house and she was there with me every step of the way. She didn’t call me screaming or call me crying. She was just there. She was like, ‘I don’t know what you want me to do.’ So we went through it."
"There was a period of time when I just stayed home," the mother-of-three continued. "Khloe’s like, ‘I’ve never met someone who’s moved back in with her mother as many times as you.'"

While North will undoubtedly find out about Kim's sex tape eventually, right now it's up to her mother to tell her what she deems appropriate.
