A woman who says she was only in the UK sun for an hour got so badly burned her face blistered and swelled to twice its usual size.
Parts of Britain have been experiencing a real heatwave in recent days.
In fact, temperatures were as high as 100 degrees on Tuesday, which is pretty incredible considering the country isn't exactly known for its sunny climate.
And the sun has been so scorchingly hot that one woman experienced horrifying sunburn after only being outside for around an hour.
TikToker Eva Jones says she was left with painful blisters, extreme swelling to her face and heatstroke after sunbathing for an hour.
"British weather," she captioned a video featuring images of her sunburn.
"Tanning for an hour won’t do much," Eva said in the clip, in which she is seen wearing a black shirt and white pair of shorts.
Then, after said hour of tanning, she is suddenly seen with a very red face. Apparently having messaged her friends about the ordeal, she wrote over a photo of herself smiling: "Guys I'm laughing but it’s not actually funny."
Eva's face then began blistering, as she shared another image and wrote: "An update girlies, my face has swelled up."
Some days later, Eva's face began peeling too.
Needless to say, the comments on her video, which has since racked up more than 2 million views, began pouring in. Some of the commenters offered her advice, with many sharing horrifying sunburn stories of their own.
One said: "Girl the same thing happened to me my face has been swollen for the past 2 days, any products you would recommend to lower the swelling."
Another wrote: "Bless you. Glad you’re feeling better. Just an fyi, if it’s sunny but breezy you’ll tan/burn more as the hair follicle will stand up because it’s cool."
A third penned: "I’m going through the same thing but my skin is horrible and whenever it seems to be getting better, it burns one day and I’m back to square one."
A fourth insisted: "You’re def not stupid! Burns happen to everyone. Next time check the UV report. it’s not about the degrees bestie."
A final commenter shared: "The beach is always where it gets you, I got sun stroke before even though I had factor 50 and stayed in the shade."
