I don't know why, but over the last couple of months I have become dangerously enamored with online shopping.
Of course, during lockdown, being able to order products and essentials online has been incredibly useful. But more than that, I have found myself on more than one occasion lately with my hand hovering over the 'pay now' button for quite a startling array of products.
Delivery drivers were being gifted essential items earlier in the pandemic:Perhaps at least some of this new mania was borne out of the desire to make my apartment look nice, seeing as all-of-a-sudden I was spending much of my waking day in it. I also fell foul to those Instagram ads for nondescript clothing sites selling what look like nice clothes at bargain prices more times than I'd care to admit.
Yet, with many of our vacations and holiday dates now being adapted to staycations and holidaying-from-home, there is certainly a high level of demand out there for products that enhance one's home living situation.

Just recently, bargain supermarket operators Aldi and Lidl both announced that they would be selling their very own hot tubs. Aldi then followed this up with a bargain 10ft pool for the garden, while Lidl revealed its sunbed especially designed to keep pets cool in the summer months.
The implications of all these products is the same: you can still have a great time while holidaying from home.
And now, Home Depot has entered the fray. Jumping on the phenomenon of the Halloween Tree, Home Depot has, with admirable zeal and disregard for the fact that it's still summer, announced a new 7ft Halloween willow tree that glows purple.

The tree is illuminated by LED lighting and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, according to the Home Depot website. An official description of the product reads;
"Featuring micro-LED lights with a purple glow, this 7 ft. Purple Willow Tree is a great addition to your Halloween yard décor. It may require more than 1-person to help assemble. The frame of this item is sturdy metal and covered in weather resistant material for lasting use."

The tree costs $129. If you want to find out more, or buy yourself one, you can do so here.
