Social media users have been left scratching their heads after a photo of a snow leopard was shared online... only... they can't find the snow leopard.
Yes, brainteasers and social media go together like peanut butter and jelly - but this latest photo has left some people questioning if they're being led on.
Well, no - we can confirm that the photo in question does show a snow leopard. It's just really, REALLY hard to find.
Recently shared on Reddit's subforum 'FindTheSniper' - which is dedicated to tricky brainteasers as users task others with finding hard-to-spot things - the post was captioned: "Find the Predator (Snow Leopard)."
The image shows three (I think) Himalayan bayas (aka blue sheep) hanging out on the side of a cliff.
However, lurking in the background is an approaching snow leopard. No... seriously... there is.
Now, I'm not even going to try to lie - I couldn't find it without checking the comments. Even after zooming in, I really struggled to find the snow leopard. Fortunately, I wasn't the only one, as one person commented: "I can't find it. Do I need to get my eyes checked?"
A second Reddit user asked: "Is it cheating to enlarge these to solve?"
Those who did manage to find the snow leopard couldn't get over just how well the predator blended in with its environment, with one person commenting: "So well camouflaged."
"That's some great camo right there, I’d definitely be dead," another added.
The amazing photo was captured by award-winning explorer and wildlife and travel photographer Inger Vandyke, who first shared the image to Facebook back in 2015.
She captioned her original post: "Spot the wild Snow Leopard! Somewhere in this shot a Snow Leopard is sitting waiting to attack a Bharal (Blue Sheep). Can you see him?"
After the image blew up on social media, Vandyke responded to eager social media users by saying: "Thanks everyone. What is really surprising in this image is the Bharal are completely unaware of the leopard being there," before adding that the snow leopard was unsuccessful in its hunt on this day.
If you're still struggling, I'll give you a hint: If you look at the very center of the image and trace your eyes up, you should be able to find the snow leopard.
But if that was easy work for you, why not check out this fun optical illusion.
This video left people amazed after showing viewers a color they'd most likely never seen before. (Trust me, I did the whole test and I was pretty mindblown by the results.) Check it out below:
"True cyan" is a dazzling green-blue pigment that social media user Kate Bacon claims that most of us have "probably never seen before".
She explains: "It’s called true cyan, and most TVs and monitors aren’t capable of producing this pigment."
