A private investigator has revealed the one obvious thing men do when they're cheating.

Raymond Ranno, who goes by the handle @ctprivatedetective on TikTok, has worked in the world of private investigating for over 30 years.

He even runs an agency dedicated to the craft in Connecticut so you can say he's somewhat of an expert in the field.

According to his website, the PI has worked with "hundreds of attorneys, insurance companies, self-insured companies, universities, police departments, and the private sector," and has caught "thousands of spouses cheating" in his three decades of experience.

After collecting all the evidence on a handful of stakeouts, Ranno has opened up about the one tell-tale sign he believes that men do when they're out cheating on their partners.

Speaking on the 'Locked In with Ian Bick' podcast earlier this year, the private investigator weighed in with his expert opinion.

“If a guy's going to pick up his sweetie on the side, he wants a clean car,” he said. “As soon as somebody goes to the car wash I think ‘Ha ha, what's next?’ It’s amazing how they do that."

He continued, stating that this is one of the biggest differences between men and women when they're being sneaky.

"Women not so much. Women don't do it so much because they usually jump in the guy's car, men always want to drive. It's very rare that I see a guy jump into a female's car," he revealed.

The PI disclosed that he's even seen cheaters picking up people "on the same street" as their own homes which is wild.

Fans were loving the detective's tips and tricks to spotting a cheater with many taking to the comments to praise the PI for his work.

"Great interview, imagine this guy has stories for days," wrote one person, while another added: "Cheaters must love car washes then."

Elsewhere during the interview, Ranno opened up about what high-tech devices he uses to gather sufficient evidence for the person who's hired him.

Ranno noted that he has a range of things to take while on a stakeout including a long-lens camera for picture and video evidence.

However, if he's trying to be really discreet, he has a fake coffee cup with a high-definition camera inside so that he can tail and observe the cheaters in plain sight.

"If I go into a coffee place, or a supermarket wherever I need to be, I just take the lid off turn it on put the cap on and it looks like I'm walking around with a coffee. Meantime I'm videotaping everything," he said.

So if you're lying to your partner and you see a man with a coffee cup tailing you in the store, you better watch out.
