A server at a nightclub has slammed a man who said he would be "down to cheat" with her, but then only tipped 10% of the final bill.
Working in hospitality is a tough, often fast-paced job where the interactions with customers can either make or break your shift, and can often lead to bizarre stories.
These stories are often shared on TikTok, where servers gather to recall their experiences much to the delight of viewers who are fascinated by the often riveting tales.
So when Kay (@kayy_jade) encountered a rather bewildering situation of her own, she took to the video platform immediately after her shift to tell all about what happened, and the video has gained over 500,000 views!
She begins by explaining that it was a night when nothing was out of the ordinary. There was a table of two men and a woman, and due to the closeness of one of the men and the woman, it appeared as if they were a couple.
At the end of the night, Kay delivered the bill to the customers and drew a love heart around the standard gratuity amount. When she returned to pick up the tip, the woman was in the bathroom and the two men were giggling.
When she took the bill back to the kitchen, she noticed some writing. It read: "I'm down to cheat from 3-7... she's a teacher," the man also left his phone number.
Kay then noticed that the trio had only tipped $10 on a $100 bill, working out to around 10% of the final amount, when the standard gratuity is 20%.
Annoyed at both the attempt to cheat and the amount of tip money, Kay raced down the hallway to discuss her apparent boyfriend's behavior.
It was then that the woman declared that she wasn't dating either one of the men, and seemed unhappy she had been held from going to the bathroom for the conversation.
Viewers flocked to the comments to add their thoughts. One person said: "It’s ALWAYS the ones who leave their numbers that don’t tip 20%."

A second said: "I had a guy leave his phone number and say that WAS his tip," and a third added: "Text him the pic of the bill and say learn how to tip."

A fourth person gave some advice on how to track down the unsuspecting teacher: "Easy, add to contacts, look at contact list on Snapchat, figure out [the] name, look up on Instagram or Facebook. Figure out who the girlfriend is."

Let's hope this was all just an elaborate joke!
