Like with everything else, there are advantages and disadvantages to social media. On one hand, it's easier than ever for us to communicate with far-flung friends and family, and more importantly, we can now suss out potential
love interests
whilst online
shopping - all from the comfort of our own beds. The future, it appears, is very much here folks.
However, we can't get too carried away, as the women of the world have been privy to a rather disturbing phenomenon in the last few years - that of the d**k pic. Yes, if you're female and have spent any time on
dating apps, or the internet at all for that matter, you've probably been affronted by a penis snap, or as I like to call it, a "pelfie". And in the majority of cases, they're unsolicited and disrespectful. But have no fear, one woman is committed to teaching the pelfie senders of the world a lesson.

Rebecca McGregor is a lingerie model and photographer from Aberdeen, Scotland, who claims that she receives around three d**k pics a day. The 24-year-old reckons that it's a result of her career choice, however, she's found a rather novel way of getting her own back at the "disrespectful" men: forwarding the explicit images to their mothers.
McGregor stated that one particularly vulgar image of a naked man flashing his torso and genitals was "the straw that broke the camel's back". She proceeded to track down the individual's mother on social media, and wrote to her, saying "Hey doll, I see you're listed as [name removed]'s mother? I think you need to have a chat with your son on how to approach women - see attached xx."
Speaking about the experience of receiving the unsolicited pictures, she said:
"I find the men sending these images really disrespectful and it makes me uncomfortable. I receive them at least three times a day unsolicited and mostly, they will just send them and not even try to say hi. Some might try and make conversation, but generally they just send the out of the blue and they appear in my inbox."
"I'm not really like most of the girls these days that find it amusing or laugh at it. I'm more old-fashioned. I believed that people should have to work before they get to see that kind of thing. Boys use the word 'grafting' nowadays to mean they are trying to win over a girl, but they're not really working because it's a case of sending images and they end up sleeping with each other straight away."

And Ms. McGregor doesn't just stop there, she also reposts the explicit pictures on her Facebook timeline to further shame the men. She adds, "
I mostly block these men right away when they send me naked images but Facebook can't really do much."
Moreover, after doing some sleuthing on the men's Facebook pages, she discovered some disturbing facts. Firstly that boys as young as 13 and 14 were sending her images, and secondly that many of the senders were in relationships. "
I've even wondered if I should contact their girlfriends and tell them what their partners have done. I feel sorry for them," she stated.
There's nothing like some swift karmic justice, is there?
