Any dog owner alive will tell you that one of the worst parts about getting a new dog is toilet-training it. Yes, when you get yourself a little puppy, teaching them where and when to poop can be a frustrating process, and result in stains being left all over your house.
Some dogs take weeks and weeks to toilet train properly, while other mutts are fast learners. It all depends on the animal in question. But now a video of a very special dog indeed has gone viral on social media, showing incredibly-smart dog apparently toilet training itself; using an invention meant for human children.
Take a look at the video of the dog using the toilet below:

A dad who hails from California discovered that his young son wasn’t the only one using the potty when he came home from work very early in the morning. Getting in at 5AM, he noticed that his little boy's training toilet had been used late at night.
This was odd as the child was clearly too young to be up and using the potty in the dark himself at that hour. He simply couldn't have snuck out of bed and used it.
Reviewing the CCTV camera he'd installed for security purposes later, the man in question made a hilarious discovery. The video showed the family dog padding into the living room in the dark, circling the potty a couple of times, before crouching over and using it just like a human!
The best bet is that this smart little pitbull has seen the child pooping, and maybe thinks that he'll be rewarded for doing the same thing. Man: I've heard of dogs drinking out of the toilet, but this is just ridiculous!

A couple has built a giant 13ft bed so that they can retreat to the Land of Nod in the company of their seven doggos.
Now, as we all know, even when you're just sharing with a partner, co-habiting a sleeping space can be tricky. One of you might like to sleep as snug as a bug and need as much of the duvet as possible, but that's no excuse for leaving bae out in the cold.
Check out this is the couple's DIY bed that fits them and their seven dogs:

When you add animals into the equation, things can become nigh on impossible. As much as my cats love snoozing away at the end of the bed, there simply isn't room for them - not that the lack of space puts them off trying to get the comfiest sleeping spot in the house!
One couple in Alabama, however, decided to take action to solve this problem by building a giant 13ft bed for themselves and their seven dogs.

Jennifer Taylor, 49, and her husband Steve, 60, explained that they didn't want to have to choose between having a good night's sleep and sharing with their pets, so they simply created a bed big enough for them and their seven pooches.
The couple, who have been married for 24 years, said that their impressive creation took just days to complete.
So what exactly is this monster human-dog-bed hybrid made from? Well, two king-sized mattresses $610 (£470) and two doors $19.46 (£14), which is what the bed's headboards are made from - headboards they painted "to make them look nice".
Things didn't end there and the couple added $325 (£250) worth of wood to create the bed, with Jennifer admitting they "kind of winged the whole thing", and because their pooches are small, they created steps as "all seven of them only have little legs".
Oh, and in case you're wondering, Jennifer and Steve have five long-haired dachshunds and two French Bulldogs.
What do you think of the bed? Is it the paw-fect sleeping solution for this big family?

Julie and Jimmy Johnson had the shock of their lives recently when they woke up to a stranger in their house.
But the intruder wasn't a burglar - it was a dog... and it was in the couple's bed.
The Tennessee couple told their wild tale to CBS News explaining that at first, they didn't even realize the random animal was in the bed with them.
Julie recalled seeing a dog in her bed when she got up in the night to use the bathroom - but assumed at the time that it was just one of their three pets.
"Our dogs are always in the bed, so I didn't panic about that, or think anything about it. I just went back to bed," she told the outlet.
It wasn't until the sun rose the following morning that Jimmy and Julie clocked the pooch cuddled up next to them wasn't one of their usual companions.
"I roll over and me and my husband I lock eyes — and sure enough, it is not our dog," said Julie.
On Facebook, Julie wrote to her friends:
"It is absolutely normal to wake up in our house with one of OUR dogs in the bed with us. One small problem, THIS IS NOT OUR DOG, nor do we know how she got in our house.
"At first, we thought it was one of ours, but they rarely lay on the pillows! In pitch darkness, I just assumed it was. Wouldn’t we all?
"As daylight began to creep in through our curtains we realized we were snuggling with someone else’s dog. This is the weirdest post I have ever had to make."
Once they'd gotten over the initial shock, the Johnsons came to the conclusion that the mystery pooch was a local pet who had gone missing. After snapping some pics with the friendly dog, they posted their bizarre predicament on Facebook and waited to see if anyone would claim her.
Sure enough, it wasn't long until Julie received a message from someone saying that the dog - whose name was Nala - was their beloved pet.
"I wanted to make sure Nala went back to the right moms. So I asked her if she could prove she was her mom and she sent me Christmas pictures and Easter pictures and just lots of photos with Nala," Julie said. "And she hopped in the car and came to my house."
Nala's owners Felicia and Chris explained that she had gone missing on their walk the day before, and must have snuck into the Johnson's house to shelter from the bad weather.
"She had been missing since mid-afternoon on Saturday. And then, I guess, she made her way about two miles towards our house. And then when the storms rolled in and the thunder started, Nala just came to us as a refuge," Julie explained.
As for creeping into the Johnson's bed with them, this came as no surprise to Nala's owners. "They were absolutely not surprised. They were like, 'She's a bed hog. She snores like an old man. We're sorry, we're on our way to get her,'" Julie laughed.

Everyone hates cleaning, but it is a necessary evil if you want a liveable home. That's why the Roomba made news in 2002 when iRobot released an automatic vacuum that cleans your house all on its own. And tidying up hasn't been the same since one touch of a button means a shiny floor without any effort.
But what happens when we put too much faith in technology? Ryan Landy showed us the result of replacing our own two hands with a miniature vacuum when he posted photos on Facebook of his Roomba and floor after the machine ran over dog feces in his house.
[[facebookwidget||https://www.facebook.com/dezmondx5/posts/1151697508363345]]
This pup clearly wasn't potty trained yet (or ate some spoiled kibble) and took a minor dump in the man's bathroom. But thank goodness the Roomba was there to do its job. The mess didn't go unnoticed by the machine, which repeatedly ran over it in a futile attempt to complete the only task it was created for.
A photo of the bottom of the robot shows it lightly covered with dog poop, which it then carefully smeared over ever surface it attempted to clean thereafter. Yum.
Ryan posted the two disgusting photos on Facebook with the caption: "My new Roomba ran over my dog’s s**t and proceeded to “clean” the rest of my house. I’m going to need therapy."
The post has since got more than 9,000 comments and 10,000 shares, as of this writing.
But hopefully, Roomba doesn't sue Ryan, as his pictures seemed to really change peoples' perspective on the product with comments like: "Reasons not to get Roomba" and "Changed my mind on a Roomba." Some people felt sorry for Ryan, but many commented laughing emojis or "The price you pay for laziness."
I wish Ryan would've shared a photo of his dog too, so at least we could've felt less sorry for him and the pup. Regardless of what the dog looks like though, maybe the lesson learned is that we shouldn't leave the future to robots.
In the meantime, though, Ryan seems to be enjoying his newfound fame - which goes to show you really can polish a turd:
