It's hard to explain the recent trend in people trying to emulate the looks of someone, or something, through extensive cosmetic surgery. While to the majority of people, spending thousands on procedures seems like a ridiculous idea, to others, it's necessary in order to achieve their dreams of looking like
Barbie,
Ken Doll or
Jessica Rabbit.
One man who has tried to emulate his idol is Cyril Roux, from Toulon, France. The 32-year-old is addicted to lip fillers and has spent thousands in an attempt to like his idol, Marilyn Monroe.

Roux has shared before and after photos of his face following the procedures, in which he has 1ml of filler injected to each lip. Due to the frequency of his visits to the surgery, Cyril's lips now look distorted and stretched to unbelievable proportions.
The waiter claims that he is now nicknamed 'The Plastic Guy' and says that his love of cosmetic surgery stemmed from a desire to look like the iconic movie star, Marilyn Monroe. However, despite the disproportion of his lips, Roux says that he is happy with his new look.
"I was first attracted to cosmetic procedures as I wanted to look younger and more like my inspiration, Marilyn Monroe.
"At the age of 26
I had my first procedure, a Botox session, which was a great experience and just made me want more.
"I've now had over 20 procedures, including 16 lip fillers over the last year-and-a-half, which I get topped up with 1ml of filler in each lip every two months.
"I've now spent over £3,500 ($4,900) on my lips alone and over £5,000 ($7,000) on cosmetic procedures in total."
Despite spending an insane amount of cash on his treatment, Cyril is still hungry to return to the surgeon's table and go under the knife.
"I'm hoping to have a nose job and get chin and cheek implants in the future," he said.
"My next procedure will be a nose job in Tunisia, I'm just waiting because I still don't have the £2,000 ($2,800) to pay for it at the moment.
"I think I could say that I'm an addict to injections.
"I often get haters, people that I don't even know sometimes laugh at me and say I look weird when they look at me."
However, even though he may receive a fair amount of hatred and awkward glances in the street, Roux has remained resolute, saying that he doesn't care.
"But I'm proud to be a plastic guy and will continue to do it. As for people looking at me and judging me, I don't care.
"At the end of the day, beauty is very important - not for others but yourself."
Hey, if the surgery makes you feel good, good luck to you!
