Brian Laundrie's sister Cassie has broken her silence on the Gabby Petito case.
The FBI has been joined by Dog The Bounty Hunter on the search for Cassie's brother as the nation remains on alert for Laundrie.
The 23-year-old is a person of interest in the disappearance of his 22-year-old fiancée Petito, who was confirmed dead on September 21.
Now, his sister has spoken out about the horrific situation, admitting that she's no longer sure of her brother's innocence.
Cassie sensationally spoke outside her home on Monday, October 4, talking to protesters and answering questions regarding her knowledge of Brian's whereabouts and alleged actions.
Take a look at Cassie Laundrie's interview below:
Admitting that Petito was "like a sister" to her, Cassie last month proudly showed ABC News the postcards and text messages she had been sent from Petito during her travels with Laundrie.
The cards are addressed to Cassie’s son and describe the adventures Gabby Petito and "Uncle Brian" Laundrie are having on their "van-life" road trip, and are signed: "Love Aunt Gabby".
The biggest reveal from the interview with protestors this month came after Cassie said she "doesn't know" if her brother killed Petito or if her parents are involved in his disappearance.
"I am losing my parents and my brother and my children's aunt and my future sister-in-law on top of this," she told protesters outside her home.
Asked to clarify what she meant by losing her parents, Cassie responds: "They're not talking to us either," followed by "if I knew, I would say, I don't know," when asked why not.
Cassie was then asked if she thinks her parents are involved, to which she responded "I don't know," per The Sun.
Cassie's interview with ABC News on September 17 is the only interview given by a member of the Laundrie family.
However, her statement that she hadn’t talked to her brother Brian since he returned to Florida alone on September 1, 2021, has now been confirmed to be incorrect.
Cassie insisted she saw her 23-year-old brother on September 1 and again on September 6 when she joined the family at the Fort De Soto Park campsite in Pinellas County, Laundrie family attorney Steve Bertolino confirmed on Friday, October 1.
Just two days after the interview aired, Gabby's remains were found in a remote campsite in Wyoming, and her death has been ruled a homicide.
Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue has deemed the tragedy a homicide in his preliminary findings. The exact cause of death, however, will become clear once the final autopsy results have been obtained.
After Gabby’s death was announced, Cassie Laundrie shared a statement with ABC News, saying: "Right now my husband and I would like to express our condolences and prayers to the Petito family.
"Gabby was a fun and loving influence to ‘the boys’ as she always referred to them. We will cherish all the time spent with her."
Laundrie returned home without Petito after they went on a cross-country road trip in the summer.
Ten days after returning to the home he shared with his parents and his now-deceased fiancée, Petito was reported missing by her family.
Laundrie later went missing himself and was named a person of interest in the case the day after on September 15.
