The cause of Bob Saget's sudden death has been revealed.

The beloved actor and comedian tragically passed away unexpectedly on January 9 at the age of 65. His body was found in his Ritz-Carlton hotel room in Florida, the day after his final stand-up performance.

Now, the Full House star's family has revealed Saget's cause of death - one month after his untimely passing.

In a statement to PageSix, Saget's family announced: "In the weeks since Bob’s passing, we have been overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob’s fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful."

It continued:

"Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us.

"The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved."

Finally, the family concluded the statement by sharing a final message to Saget's fans: "As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter."

TMZ adds that "sources with direct knowledge" to the investigation say the actor passed away from a "brain bleed" as a result of the trauma.

Earlier this week, Saget's daughter, Lara, shared a touching tribute to her father and let her followers know how she would be honoring her dad's memory.

In a touching social media post, the 32-year-old shared a throwback photo of the comedian with his three daughters.

The sweet snap shows Lara and her sisters — Jennifer, now 29, and Aubrey, now 35 — playing with their dad, and Lara says she has no regrets when it comes to her relationship with her father.

"It is a gift, To know that nothing was left unsaid," Saget wrote on Instagram. "That I love you is all that matters, And that I wouldn’t have done anything differently. When there is nothing to hold onto, I love you is all there is."

"To live a life without regret is to say it. My dad recently said that all he wanted to do was to make people laugh and to spread kindness and love. For me, to honor him is to live that," she went on.

"No matter what life throws, be kind and love fully, and tell people how much I love them. Always," she added.
