The 52-year-old was found deceased in his Michigan home on June 1, and his family initially stated that he had passed from a heart attack, but went on to reveal that he didn't have a history of heart issues.

In a statement to TMZ, Batayeh's family said: "He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many."

The actor starred opposite Bryan Cranston in three episodes of AMC's Breaking Bad, dating back to 2011, where he played the role of Dennis Markowski.

The character ran the Lavandería Brillante industrial laundromat which allowed Cranston's character Walter White to make meth alongside Jesse Pinkman in secrecy.

Other credits for the actor include big names such as Everybody Loves Raymond, Boy Meets World, CSI: Miami, and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, according to IMDb.

The actor also took to the big screen with credits in American Dreams, Gas, Don't Mess With The Zohan, and as a leading role in Detroit Unleaded.

Alongside his acting work, Batayeh was also a touring comedian who had played iconic venues across the US such as LA's Comedy Store and Improv and New York City's Gotham.

He also took part in events in the Middle East, as he was immensely proud of his heritage. For two consecutive years he was invited by the royal family of Jordan to perform at the Amman International Comedy Festival.

An online obituary for the actor read: "Mike was always passionate about helping youth in the community where he lived and grew up facing similar challenges."

For those wishing to pay their respects to the late actor, his family has requested that donations are made to Clark Park Coalition fund to support Southwest Detroit youth in his honor.

Batayeh is survived by his five sisters, along with his nieces and nephews who described him as their "Funcle" (fun uncle).

His funeral is set to take place on June 17.
