Fans have flooded social media with praise for Jennifer Lopez after footage of her introducing her child Emme with gender-neutral pronouns was shared online.
The 'Booty' singer introduced her then-14-year-old child while performing at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala at Dodgers Stadium in LA on Thursday.
Jennifer Lopez and Emme perform 'Get Loud' together:
And fans were quick to notice that the doting mom introduced her talented offspring only using they/them pronouns, telling the crowd: "The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won't.
"So this is a very special occasion. They are very, very busy. Booked. And pricey."
J-Lo went on to describe Emme as her "favorite duet partner", telling those in attendance: "They cost me when they come out. But they're worth every single penny because they're my favorite duet partner of all time. So if you will indulge me."
Emme then hit the stage dressed in a bright pink outfit and holding a rainbow-colored microphone.

"Awww JLo respecting the pronouns," one TikToker user commented.
A second wrote: "I’m guessing Emme identifies as [non-binary], glad that Jlo is respectful of Emme’s pronouns."
A third added: "Can you imagine your mom, the most important person in your life, accepting everything about you and loving you for you! The world would be amazing."
"I love how us mothers will support our children no matter what! I love this, go Emme," wrote a fourth.
After taking to the stage, the duo then performed a cover of Christina Perri's 'A Thousand Years'.
During the heartwarming performance, Lopez dropped to her knees and sang the lyrics directly to Emme: "Darling don't be afraid I have loved you / For a thousand years / I'll love you for a thousand more."
Following their performance, the 'On The Floor' singer took to Twitter to share several images of Emme at the show. J-Lo captioned the pics: "Last night".
The last time the two performed together was back at the 2020 Super Bowl LIV.

Jennifer Lopez has once again taken to the stage with her child, Emme.
The 52-year-old chart-topper introduced the 14-year-old while performing at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala at Dodgers Stadium in LA last week.
What's more, Lopez introduced her talented offspring only using they/them pronouns, telling the crowd: "The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won't.

They could also be seen holding a rainbow-colored microphone.
The duo then performed a cover of Christina Perri's 'A Thousand Years'.

Jennifer Lopez reportedly turned into a fierce mama bear during a recent outing with child Emme - leading fans to once again highlight the singer's ongoing support of her children.
On March 23, the 55-year-old singer and actress attended the Broadway opening night of Othello, starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, with 17-year-old Emme by her side.
During the high-profile night out in New York City, the duo made a coordinated style statement as they posed for photos outside the Barrymore Theatre, both dressed in sleek black and gray ensembles.
Lopez stunned in a two-piece outfit that showed off her midriff beneath a slightly cropped top. She completed her look with a floor-length skirt, a fur coat, and a chic bun, while Emme opted for a relaxed, fashionable vibe that complemented their mother’s outfit.
But it wasn’t just their red carpet fashion that had people talking.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to Page Six, Lopez stepped into full “mama bear” mode when a paparazzo reportedly shoved a “huge paparazzi camera” into Emme’s face as they exited the theater.
“She went mama bear,” the source said, noting that Lopez “yelled at the guy” for invading her child’s space.
The protective moment resonated with many fans online, especially those familiar with Lopez’s ongoing support of Emme’s non-binary identity.
Lopez made headlines back in 2022 during the Blue Diamond Gala at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, when she introduced Emme on stage using they/them pronouns — a moment that quickly went viral.
"The last time we performed together was in a big stadium like this and I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won’t,” Lopez said at the time as Emme joined her onstage. “So, this is a very special occasion."
She continued with a playful nod to Emme’s schedule: "They are very, very busy, booked and pricey. They cost me when they come out. But they’re worth every single penny because they’re my favourite duet partner of all time. So, if you will indulge me.”
The touching moment was widely shared and applauded online. One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “JLo, you are a wonderful mother and you both sang beautifully.”
Another chimed in: “'They' is how Emme identifies. This was JLo sharing that information, it's beautiful to see her supporting her child.”
“Awww JLo respecting the pronouns,” a third added, with another saying: “Aw I love her support.”
Lopez shares Emme and their twin brother Max with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, to whom she was married from 2004 to 2014.
The pair have performed together publicly before, but the 2022 gala marked a turning point in the public's awareness of Emme’s gender identity—and Lopez’s vocal support.
Despite the unsettling encounter with the paparazzo at the Othello premiere, Lopez and Emme appeared to enjoy their evening out. The superstar later shared a warm photo of the two of them on Instagram, captioned: “Othello premiere with the best date ever.”

Jennifer Lopez's child appears to have debuted a new name after fans spotted a post about their college plans.
The singer, 56, shares 18-year-old twins Max and Emme with her former husband Marc Anthony, 57.
However, eagle-eyed fans spotted that Emme now appears to go by another name after their graduation.
According to Page Six, the new name was revealed in a post share in March by an Instagram account that shares the college decisions of graduating Windward seniors.
In one post, a childhood photo of the now-18-year-old was shared alongside the name Oskar Muñiz, with the caption also tagging an account believed to belong to Jennifer's child.
The post added that Oskar will be heading to Sarah Lawrence College to study theater and studio arts.
The caption read: "Oskar to Sarah Lawrence! No more impromptu NYC trips because he’ll be living there! Good thing it’s only a few hours away from Stagedoor. Go gryphons!! Congrats!!!”
While the post appears to have since been removed, screenshots show it was 'liked' by Jennifer Garner, who was previously married to Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband Ben Affleck.
JLo has not publicly addressed the name change and her representatives have yet to comment.
Earlier in the week, JLo attended Oskar's graduation ceremony along with her mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, and Ben Affleck’s son, Samuel.
Jennifer became emotional when asked about her kids' graduation during a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, when she told the host: "Don’t talk about it because [I] start crying,” admitting she had been "crying for two months" at the prospect of her twins leaving home for college.
She also confirmed that her two children will be going to different colleges, which she says she is "fine" with as she wants "them to be happy and go where they want to go and do what they want to do."
News of the apparent name change comes after Jennifer was praised for her use of certain pronouns when referring to her child in the past.
Jennifer made headlines back in 2022 during the Blue Diamond Gala at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, when she introduced Oskar on stage using they/them pronouns — a moment that quickly went viral.

Last night's Super Bowl LIV is one I'm sure will never be forgotten. And not because the Kansas City Chiefs went on to defeat the San Francisco 49ers by 31-20, securing their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years - oh, no - because if we're all being honest, the halftime show was better than the entire game.
During a tied game, Jennifer Lopez, 50, and Shakira, 43, lit up the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida with an electrifying performance. Fans of the two pop icons were treated to a medley of hits, such as the Colombian's 'Hips Don't Lie' and J-Lo's 'On the Floor'.
However, viewers couldn't contain their amazement after Lopez's 11-year-old daughter took to the stage with her mom to sing her 2001 hit 'Let's Get Loud' - a song that helped skyrocket Lopez's career.
Check out Emme's remarkable performance in the video below:

Young Emme then broke into a version of Bruce Springsteen's 'Born In The USA', as her mom strutted her stuff while draped in a Puerto Rican flag made of a feather boa.
Naturally, viewers rushed to Twitter to share their reaction to the performance and praise Emme's remarkable talent

Twitter user Dan wrote: "As fab as Shakira and Jennifer Lopez were and are, let’s also give noise to J-Lo’s daughter, Emme, who nailed the f**k out of ‘Let’s Get Loud’ and ‘Born In The USA’."

And Joshua Lopez (no relation I assume) tweeted out: "Let’s not overlook the fact that [J-Lo's] daughter killed that as well! Vocals are crazy".

Even Kim Kardashian was impressed by the youngster's talent, writing: "Can we talk about how amazing @JLo’s daughter Emme sang and on such a huge stage like the Super Bowl".

Oh, and while all this was going on, Shakira was absolutely smashing it on the drums:

Shakira also baffled viewers with her unique tongue ululation:

Many viewers were also quick to point out the political imagery of the mother and daughter's performance - hailing it a "powerful statement":

Emme Muñiz and her twin brother Maximilian are Lopez’s children with ex-husband and singer Marc Anthony.
Anthony took the opportunity to tweet out his support for his daughter following her stunning performance, writing: "Emme Daddy is so proud of you. You are my [heart emoji] and I am forever yours [sic]".

I certainly think we'll be seeing a lot more from her in the near future...

J-Lo, who is mom to 11-year-old twins Emme Maribel Muñiz and Maximilian David Muñiz (whom she had with ex-husband Marc Anthony), left her fans in awe at her toned physique and was showered with compliments in the comments section.
However, in doing so, the mom also inspired moms around the world to share their own swimsuit selfies, in a movement that's been labeled the '#JLoChallenge'.
But these moms are not flaunting how toned and tight their bodies are; instead, they are embracing their different shapes and sizes as mothers, and encouraging others to champion their own personal fitness journeys.
The "JLoChallenge" was created by mother Maria Kang, who is also the founder of the parenting fitness community No Excuses Mom. Kang recently shared a mirror selfie to her own Instagram account, mimicking J-Lo by wearing her own white two-piece. The photo was accompanied with a caption that had an important message for all parents:
"Thank you @jlo for inspiring this spontaneous pic in a white bikini this morning. Not a celebrity. Not getting millions to look great in a movie (hello, Hustlers! or dating a hot athlete (although my hubby is kinda cute!) BUT, it doesn't matter... Own your story. Create your own accountability. Don't make excuses for your inaction."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B8t0drAnMiz/]]
Kang then encouraged other moms to share their own bathroom selfie - a challenge that moms all over the world obliged.
Instagram user and mom life.leggings.fitness wrote: "This is what 26 looks like. With three kids, two pregnancies, one csection, one natural. I'm still very much a work in progress. It's called a journey for a reason [sic]".
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B8zPidYgBWr/]]
And shannonlink18 shared: "I was challenged by @mariakangfitness to join the bathroom selfie swimsuit #jlochallenge to show that motherhood can make you better. I am a 39 year old mother of 3 children (19, 13, & 11). The goal is to never strive to look like anyone else, but to embrace life, motherhood, and work for what you want. [sic]"
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B8xR0b4JF22/]]
Another mom with the handle mel.lauren wrote: "This is 24 (going on 25). I am a FULL TIME MAMA! I’ve been happily married for almost 4 years and a mother of two silly little boys. Hairstylist by day. Also a track & field coach, dancer/dance instructor, fitness lover!! I stay busy all day long!! [sic]"
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B8xAfJvHY7w/]]
And laceycalkins posted: "This is 37 (in one month from today)!!! This is the body that gave birth to two beautiful girls (one completely natural). Despite the trials over the last couple years that lead me to make some hard decisions, I am the happiest I have been in a very long time. I am a full time working mom that gets up at 4:20 in the morning to work out, because regardless of my excuses, my girls deserve a happy/healthy mom (who also won’t say no to tacos!)."
[[instagramwidget||https://www.instagram.com/p/B8vCJSNBfxm/]]
And Instagram-user adelacarnaghi posted: " I am 36 year old mom of 10 and a grandmother of 1. I have been the No Excuse Mom leader in Sierra Vista, Az for about a year now. Excuses, yes, I have lots and yet I don't let them take control of my life. I make the decision to workout and be positive every single day, it's my way of life. I thank Maria Kang and all the No Excuse Moms for their support, encouragement, and inspiration. They have helped me change my life for the better. I would love to see your journey on how you crush your excuses. [sic]"
