Following the online conversation surrounding a resurfaced interview featuring Blake Lively, the reporter has added more context as to why the actress' comments were "like a bullet".

Earlier this week, award-winning journalist Kjersti Flaa released a video to YouTube of her interviewing stars Blake Lively and co-star Parker Posey for their 2016 movie Cafe Society.

The resurfaced footage was accompanied with the title: "The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job". Flaa added in the description that it was "the most uncomfortable interview situation" she has "ever experienced".

During their conversation, Flaa congratulated Lively on her pregnancy - following the news that she was expecting her second child with her husband Ryan Reynolds at the time - but the encounter seemingly turned tense from that very moment on.

"First of all, congrats on your little bump," Flaa, who is the founder of Content Now TV, said.

"Congrats on your little bump," Blake hit back, clearly unamused by the comment.

"What about my bump?" Posey quipped, standing up to show her butt to the camera.

The two actresses went on to have a conversation amongst themselves about their "bumps" while the interviewer watched on awkwardly.

The tense atmosphere only continued to get worse as Flaa asked her first question.

"Did you guys love wearing those kind [sic] of clothes?" she said, referring to the fact that the movie was set back in the 1930s.

But Blake didn't seem take too well to the question and as Posey began to answer, she interjected saying: "Everyone wants to talk about the clothes but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes."

"I would," Flaa responded.

This led to the two actresses, yet again, having a conversation between themselves.

After sharing the clip, social media users took to the comments section to slam Lively's behavior, with one person writing: "When she immediately pretended to be offended by the clothes question? Insane behavior. Really showing her true colors."

A second added: "Oh wow, those girls were not even addressing the interviewer. Good for the interviewer for not getting sucked into their crass behavior."

"I feel so bad for the interviewer. This makes me feel so uncomfortable," a third added.

Flaa has recently responded to the outpouring of support she has received, writing in an Instagram Story: "Thank you to all you wonderful people out there who have sent me so many messages with support after I posted this interview. I am truly touched."

Now, in an interview with the Daily Mail, Flaa has revealed exactly which comment from Lively was "like a bullet".

"It was such a traumatizing experience to me,” Flaa told the outlet. "I was there to do a job, and they made sure to make it as difficult as possible for me to do that.

"I was there so they could promote a movie," the journalist added. "I was invited to meet them. It certainly did not feel like that. I felt belittled and ignored, and it made me question if I ever wanted to do these types of interviews again."

She then explained: "'[Her comment] left me almost paralyzed. To be honest, it hurts because I obviously wasn't pregnant and I could never get pregnant so to me that comment was like a bullet."

"I didn't know how to react," Flaa said. "I felt very uncomfortable throughout the interview and all I wanted to do was leave and get out of there as fast as I could."

She then added that she was left feeling like a "complete failure" and racked her brains about what she could have said to have made "them behave like that."

Lively has not yet publicly commented on the video or surrounding backlash as of this writing.
