Following the tragic passing of Love & Marriage: Huntsville star KeKe Jabbar, her cause of death has now been revealed.
As previously reported, News of Jabbar's passing was first shared on Tuesday, July 2, by blogger Marcella Speaks during a YouTube livestream, according to TMZ.
The blogger revealed that Jabbar died "peacefully at home surrounded in love."
During the live stream, Speaks also read a statement from Jabbar's family:
"It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke. She was a mom, a sister, and a great friend full of life, love, and laughter. She will be sorely missed and at this time, we are asking for respect and privacy in our moment of grief while we process this great loss."
Jabbar's cousin and Love & Marriage: Huntsville co-star, LaTisha Moore Scott, also confirmed the news on Instagram, requesting privacy for the family during this difficult time.
"At this time, we are asking for RESPECT, and PRIVACY in our moment of grief, while we process this great loss! This is hard for our family!!!!!" Scott wrote.
The cause of Jabbar's death has now been revealed.
According to TMZ, the reality star tragically died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
The news outlet obtained the autopsy report from the Alabama medical examiner on Friday, which confirmed that Jabbar's blood contained 64% carboxyhemoglobin - a marker for carbon monoxide exposure.
In comparison, normal levels for non-smokers are under 2%, and below 5% for smokers.
While carbon monoxide poisoning was listed as the primary cause of death, the toxicology report also detected oxycodone and oxymorphone in Jabbar’s system at the time of her passing.
Following the announcement of her death, fans of the reality star took to social media to express their condolences and share tributes.
One fan posted on X (formerly known as Twitter): "Wow... As a fan of Love & Marriage: Huntsville, I am so sad to hear of the loss of KeKe Jabbar. Praying for her family, especially her husband and kids. May God be with them during this time."
Another user shared: "I'm so sorry to hear that Keke has passed away. My heart goes out to her children, parents, husband, Tisha, and all their family. Prayers for all."
Fans also expressed their grief in the comment section of Jabbar's final Instagram post, a video from May 27 in which she announced her swim wig line while celebrating Memorial Day weekend with her family.
"I didn't know her but I'm heartbroken that she passed away. My condolences to all who loved her," one person wrote.
Another added: "Rip KeKe! I’m so thankful I was never mean to you and always wanted to see you win. I have our conversations in my inbox. You were always so kind. Go take your crown and rest."
Jabbar is survived by her husband, three children, parents, and extended family members.
