The makeup company Milani has debunked a claim made by Amber Heard's lawyer during the actor's defamation trial against Johnny Depp.

Heard is currently being sued by her ex-husband for $50 million following an op-ed the Aquama star wrote for The Washington Post. In the piece, Heard referred to herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse". She is countersuing against the Pirates of the Caribbean star.

The trial comes after 58-year-old Depp lost a highly-publicized trial against UK newspaper The Sun for labeling him a "wife-beater".

As the trial continues to make headlines, many revelations from the couple's marriage have now been made public. Depp revealed that he would never return to Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and Heard alleged that Depp cut the tip of his finger off.

And, per the New York Post, during opening statements this week, Heard's lawyer claimed that the actor had become "very adept" at using a Milani Conceal + Perfect All-in-One Correcting Kit to cover bruises during her relationship with Depp.

Watch Heard's attorney speak about the makeup product below:

Holding up the compact, attorney Elaine Bredehoft told the courtroom: "This was what she used.

"She became very adept at it. You’re going to hear the testimony from Amber about how she had to mix the different colors for the different days of the bruises as they developed in the different coloring and how she would use to touch those up to be able to cover those."

However, Milani has now taken to social media to debunk these claims.

In a 15-second video shared on the official Milani TikTok page (@milanicosmetics) on Thursday, the company revealed that the dates just don't add up. "You asked us… let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017," the post's caption read.

Over footage from the courtroom and Milani employees conducting their "investigation", the company writes: "Take note: alleged abuse was around 2014-2016, got divorced 2016, makeup palette release date: December 2017."

Heard and Depp first met in 2009 while on set for the movie The Rum Diary. They started dating and got engaged in 2014, and would marry in a private ceremony in Los Angeles the following year.

After a 15-month marriage, Heard filed for divorce in 2016, with the divorce being finalized in January of 2017.

In response to the video - which has since amassed more than 3.8 million views - TikTok users were quick to comment their support for the makeup brand for "calling out" Heard.
