The A-list couple stepped out for Saturday Night Live’s 50th-anniversary special on Sunday (February 16), marking their first public appearance since Lively, 37, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024.

Putting on a united front, the Gossip Girl alum stunned in a silver sequined gown, paired with matching heels and droplet earrings, while Reynolds, 48, looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo.

During the SNL 50 special, the Deadpool actor was seated in the audience alongside his wife when hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler singled him out. “Ryan Reynolds! How’s it going?” they asked.

Without missing a beat, he responded with a quip referencing the lawsuit: “Great! Why, what have you heard?”

The joke was met with laughter from the studio audience, though Lively appeared slightly uneasy at the remark.

Watch the moment below:

The legal battle between Lively and Baldoni, who both starred in the film adaptation of It Ends With Us, has been escalating since December when the actress sued the 41-year-old and his associates for $250 million.

The 37-year-old has accused Baldoni, who also directed the film, of sexual harassment and retaliating against her with a smear campaign.

Baldoni denied all allegations and hit back by countersuing Lively and Reynolds for $400 million and accusing her of trying to gain control over the movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel.

To support his claims, the Jane the Virgin star and his team released never-before-seen text messages and launched a website detailing a timeline of events from the production of It Ends With Us.

In response, Lively’s legal team subpoenaed Baldoni’s text messages, alleging they would provide evidence of a coordinated effort to damage her reputation.

“Ms. Lively has initiated discovery that will expose the people, tactics, and methods that have worked to ‘destroy’ and ‘bury’ her reputation and family over the past year,” her attorneys Mike Gottlieb and Esra Hudson said, per The Hollywood Reporter.

“We will now receive all of the ‘receipts’ that, unsurprisingly, are nowhere to be found on Mr. [Bryan] Freedman’s website, and like Ms. Lively, those ‘receipts’ will have their day in court,” they added.

Lively and Baldoni's legal teams requested to bypass mediation, agreeing that settlement discussions would be “premature," per News.com.au.

Instead, they are preparing for what is set to be a high-stakes trial scheduled for March 9, 2026.
