Social media star Adalia Rose Williams has sadly passed away at the age of 15.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by the YouTuber's family on social media. In an Instagram post, they wrote: "January 12, 2022 at 7pm Adalia Rose Williams was set free from this world.

"She came into it quietly and left quietly, but her life was far from it. She touched MILLIONS of people and left the biggest imprint on everyone that knew her.

"She is no longer in pain and is now dancing away to all the music she loves. I really wish this wasn’t our reality but unfortunately it is. We want to say thank you to everyone that loved and supported her. Thank you to all her doctors and nurses that worked for YEARS to keep her healthy."

The beloved teenager's family concluded the message by asking for time to mourn.

Per The Independent, Adalia was diagnosed with the early aging disorder Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome when she was just three months old. Due to the condition causing an individual's features to appear to have aged prematurely, the condition also became known in the media as 'Benjamin Button syndrome'.

The condition affects about 500 children worldwide, The Sun reports.

Adalia, from Texas, amassed over 2.9 million subscribers on her YouTube channel, where she would candidly discuss her life living with her rare condition. She would also share the usual sort of content you'd expect to see on a teenager's YouTube channel, such as makeup tutorials and vacation vlogs.

Speaking to the New Zealand Herald in 2019, Adalia's mom Natalia Pallante said: "Adalia has changed my life completely, it's not like I was hateful but I wasn't nice to myself. I wasn't thankful. I didn't realize what life was until she was born."

Following the heartbreaking news of Adalia's passing, many of her fans and supporters have been sharing their condolences and memories of the social media star.

Fellow YouTuber Desi Perkins wrote: "My heart breaks to hear this. I was lucky to have met her and to see how amazing she was. She touched so many people with her amazing energy. I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. I will be keeping you in my prayers. Rest in paradise angel."

Influencer Kandee Johnson commented: "Adalia’s heart, her spunky outlook, her hilarious personality. I feel honored to know her in life and I know she’s probably dancing in heaven! My heart is wrapping around all of you, her family."

And social media star Natalie Alzate wrote: "She was pure light and joy. I still remember the first time she came up to me and called my name, her little eyes twinkled. I loved her energy and sass all at once."

Our thoughts are with Adalia’s family, friends, and fans at this time.
