The girl who believes that she is Madeleine McCann has outlined her next steps once the results of her DNA test are revealed while making her first television appearance.

Julia Wendell, 21, has created great intrigue across the world after she took to social media to claim that she believes she may be Madeleine McCann, a British girl who went missing in 2007.

Julia, who also goes by Julia Faustyna or Julia Wandelt in various media reports, has since deleted her social media accounts after making the claims but appeared on Dr. Phil 0n Monday where she further revealed why she believes she is the missing British girl.

Madeleine, then three years old, went missing in Portugal on May 3, 2007, as she was sleeping in her holiday apartment with her parents dining at a nearby restaurant.

Watch Julia's appearance on the show below:

Despite there being no sign of Madeleine's whereabouts since her disappearance, Julia believes herself to be the missing girl and is currently waiting for DNA test results that will give her the answers she is seeking.

Appearing on Dr. Phil to discuss her claims, the host pointed out similarities in Julia's features that match those of Madeleine such as a mark on her face and a dark spot on her eye, known as coloboma.

When questioned about what her next steps will be after the results of the DNA test provide answers, Julia boldly responded: "I believe I am Madeleine McCann."

The 21-year-old further explained what she would do if the results reveal that she is the child of her mother in Poland: "If she is my mother, I don’t want to have contact with her that’s all, but I believe she isn’t my mother."

Julia also referred to Poland's child health book where she noted that the first six pages of hers are mysteriously blank, furthering her claims that she is not the child of those who raised her.

Dr. Fia Johansson, a medium and private investigator who has been helping Julia, appeared on the show alongside her as she was the one conducting the DNA tests and she too believes that the 21-year-old is Madeleine.

"After I spoke to Julia, I knew I had to fly to Poland. It was back in 2018 and 19 that I got involved in the Madeleine McCann case. I was involved as a psychic police. [...] I believe she is alive," she said.

Dr. Johansson went on: "I started to investigate Julia's body, to figure out if she has [Madeleine's] birthmarks. And for me, yes... she had.

"Julia's mom refused to do the DNA test and she refused to answer any calls, texts, or communication," she added. "At this moment, I kinda know the truth. But until I get an answer, it's hard to say 100% - but it's also hard to deny it 100%."

Julia's family in Poland released a statement in February strongly denying their daughter's claims, saying: "For us, as a family, it is obvious that Julia is our daughter, granddaughters, sister, niece, cousin, and step-niece.

"Threats to our address from Julia, her lies and manipulations, activity on the internet. The interest won’t forget, and it’s obvious that Julia isn’t Maddie. We are devastated at this current situation."

The episode of Dr. Phil aired on Monday and is now available to watch via YouTube.
