Lip readers have apparently figured out what Kate Middleton said to Prince William during the King's Coronation at the weekend, and it seems to prove that no matter your status - you always listen to your wife.

The King's Coronation took place on Saturday (May 6) as viewers from around the world tuned in to see King Charles III wearing the crown.

At the age of 74, Charles is the oldest Monarch to be crowned, which is a far cry from his mother Queen Elizabeth II who took to the throne at the age of 25.

Westminster Abbey in London was packed with famous faces, including the majority of the Royal Family (not Meghan Markle or her kids because they were celebrating Archie's fourth birthday).

Prince William, the next in line for the throne, was there alongside his wife Kate Middleton, and their three children George, Charlotte, and Louis.

It's the done thing to try and get the inside scoop on what is happening within the Royal Family, as the interest in the goings on was demonstrated by the success of The Crown on Netflix.

Professional mouth reader Jeremy Freeman told the Daily Star that just before the ceremony, Kate was worried that her husband would stand on her gown.

"Just mind the gown," she reportedly told William, who sweetly responded: "Don’t worry I got [or caught] it."

This just proves that even if you're a future King, you should always treat your wife with respect and be absolutely sure that you don't damage their clothes.

This wasn't the only bit of lip reading from the ceremony, as another expert mouth reader Elisabeth Taunton told the Mirror that Charles didn't want to cause a scene by falling off the balcony at Buckingham Palace.

He reportedly said: "I’m not going to get too close [to the front] so the fire service have to [run in] rescue me."

Camilla was then seen instructing the working members of the Royal Family on where to position themselves on the balcony before telling them to not worry about her gown.

More mouth-reading detectives spoke to the Daily Mail about the conversation that King Charles was having with his wife just before the ceremony, and he didn't seem best pleased.

"I’m worried about time, I mean it’s been longer this time and, well, erm, I mean look! I know," he allegedly said, while another lip reader believes he said: "We can never be on time. Yes, I’m… this is a negative. There’s always something."

So next time you're running late for work, just remind them that if King Charles can be late to his Coronation, you being five minutes behind because you grabbed a coffee isn't that big of a deal.
