On Saturday, April 17, the late Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip was laid to rest.
In a solemn and intimate service at St George's Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, the wife of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was laid to rest in a historic 200-year-old vault.
The ceremony brought the British Royal Family back together after a year of tumult and division, and the televised broadcast was watched by an estimated 14 million people, per The Sun.
So just in case you missed it all over the weekend, we've compiled a list of the most iconic moments from the funeral. Scroll down to check them out.
1. The minute's silence:At 3:00PM Greenwich Mean Time, at Windsor and further afield, Prince Philip's subjects observed a national one-minute-long silence in memory of the husband of the monarch - a touching gesture of respect

However, shortly after the one-minute-silence, the proceedings were interrupted when a topless woman rushed out, shouting: "save the planet!"
The environmentalist protestor then jumped onto a statue of Queen Victoria before police officers subdued her.
3. The coffin appears:The duke’s coffin was carried by Royal Marine pallbearers up the steps of the chapel.
It was decorated with his Admiral of the Fleet Naval Cap and sword and draped in Philip’s 12ft personal standard – with blue lions and red hearts on a yellow background representing Denmark and the arms of the City of Edinburgh among the four quarters.

During the ceremony itself, Queen Elizabeth II sat alone and apart from the other mourners inside the chapel, in compliance with social distancing guidelines during the pandemic. She could be seen wearing a black dress, black hat, and black mask.
On social media, a number of Twitter users expressed sympathy for the widowed monarch during her time of bereavement.

Military chiefs, members of the nobility, and five key members of the Duke's own household were seen Marching upon St George's Chapel, set against the music of classical composer Ludwig Van Beethoven.
Following close behind the coffin were the Late Duke's children, the Prince of Wales, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York, and the Earl of Wessex.
They were followed in turn by the duke’s grandsons, the Duke of Sussex, the Duke of Cambridge, as well as Peter Phillips, the Princess Royal’s husband Vice Admiral Tim Laurence, and the Earl of Snowdon, Queen Elizabeth's nephew.

There's no doubt that 2021 has been a fractious year for the grandsons of the Duke, especially in the wake of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's widely-publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey.
However, on this day of grief and remembrance, the two brothers appeared to have put whatever differences they've shared aside. After the ceremony, they could even be seen walking and talking together.
7. Kate's necklace:The Duchess of Cambridge and wife of Prince William paid tribute to the Queen and her husband's late mother, Princess Diana, by wearing a pearl choker previously worn by them both in the past.

Finally, the wreath itself caught the attention of many viewers of the service. Placed on top of the Duke of Edinburgh's casket, the wreath was composed of white lilies, small white roses, and white freesia, and also featured a handwritten note from The Queen herself, reportedly signed with her childhood nickname - "Lilibet."
However, there was one picture in particular of Kate Middleton which managed to steal the hearts of many during the funeral. Check it out if you haven't already.
