An American woman has come forward with DNA "proof" that she is missing British girl Madeleine McCann.
Just recently, Julia Wandelt, a 23-year-old Polish woman who gained international attention after falsely claiming to be missing British child Madeleine McCann, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of stalking.

Wandelt was detained at Bristol Airport on February 19, 2025, after arriving from Wroclaw, Poland.
She faces four counts of stalking, allegedly causing significant distress to Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, as well as their twins, Sean and Amelie.
Just as Kate and Gerry hoped to put the saga behind them, another woman has stepped forward claiming to be their daughter.
Eugenea Collins, 22, from Arkansas has made similar claims in an interview with MailOnline, citing issues with securing identification as the reason for her suspicions about her true identity.
"I am unable to get any kind of identification. I couldn’t even get any help from the people at the Red Cross when my house was burned because I have no identification," Collins said.
"I have never seen an original birth certificate neither. The only thing I saw had someone else’s name wrote on it and they marked that out and wrote mine above it."
Like Madeleine, both Collins and Wandelt were born in 2003, meaning they would be around 22 or 23 years old today.
However, Collins' claims have been met with skepticism, particularly due to her lack of the signature eye defect known as coloboma, which Madeleine had.
"She doesn't have a mark on her eye and she has photos that seem to be from younger than Maddie was when she went missing," one user commented on a Reddit thread discussing the claim.

Collins has since shared DNA test results revealing that she has largely British and Northwestern European ancestry. However, the results do not link her to the McCann family.
She also made the unusual claim that the man she believed to be her father is actually Christian B., a German suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance.
Collins stated that she first suspected she might be Madeleine after watching Wandelt's appearance on Dr. Phil.
"If it wasn't for me seeing her on the Dr. Phil show I would've never known. In a way her stupidity actually helped me find my family," Collins said, explaining that her suspicions grew after failing to locate her original birth certificate.
