A 21-year-old woman from Poland who believes she could be the missing British girl Madeleine McCann has revealed that she has "exciting news."
Julia Wandelt made headlines in recent weeks after taking to social media to post about how she believes she is Madeleine - who famously went missing while on a family holiday in Portugal in 2007. She claims to have heard her parents say they "took her" as a child and also alleges that she was abused by a German man.
Going by the Instagram handle @iammadeleinemcan, Julia stated that she began questioning her identity when a comment from her grandmother sparked her to look closer at Madeleine's unique features.
The 21-year-old posted that the freckles on her legs are similar to the missing British girl's and that she also has the same eye condition as Madeleine.
The publicity form Julia's social media accounts became so widespread that Kate and Gerry McCann (Madeleine's parents) reportedly agreed to do a DNA test.
Polish police have since stated that they don't see the case going any further. Pawel Noga of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wroclaw has ruled out any possibility that Julia could be the missing girl. Speaking to the Polish outlet Gazeta (via the Mirror), police revealed that they visited Julia's home and were presented with a birth certificate and childhood photos by her family.
As well as this, Julia's family spoke out through the Polish police about the situation, stating that she had taken family photographs and a birth certificate. They also added that they'd asked Julia to stop her "lies and manipulations," saying: "We always tried to help her get back on her feet. Julia has been of age for several years. She has moved out of the house. She refuses treatment, doesn't take medicines regularly. Julia once wanted to be a singer, a model. She always wanted to be popular."

Despite this, Julia has maintained that she is Madeleine. In fact, she even revealed that she had "exciting news," sharing an update on her Instagram stories. She admitted that she's been helped by celebrity psychic Dr. Fia Johansson and a team of investigators. "Today was my luckiest day ever. My mentor, my everything comes to my country with so much love and exciting news," Julia said.

"We have lots to reveal," she continued, adding, per Entertainment Daily: "I was with her team in the past couple of days, now my dream has come true. I am finally with Fia. Finally, I'm with Dr Fia. I still feel like I'm dreaming sitting with Dr Fia in the car [...] When it's time, everything will be published from Fia."
