A lip reader has revealed sweet details about the interactions between brothers Prince George and Prince Louis during the 2025 Trooping the Colour parade.

At the seven years old, Prince Louis' charming antics and expressions have made him a hit with fans of the Royal Family.

And this year's Trooping the Colour parade was no different.

The youngest of Prince William and Princess Kate’s three children was spotted grinning ear to ear as he rolled through the Mall in a horse-drawn carriage with George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 10. But it was what he said during the ride that really stole hearts.

“Should I wave?” Louis asked his big brother, according to lip reader Jacqui Press, who told the The Sun about the brothers' exchange.

George’s reply? “It’s up to you, I can’t believe how sunny it is.”

Louis then responded: “Let’s do it together!”

And just like that, the brothers raised their hands and gave a perfectly timed wave to the cheering crowd. A royal double act, in every sense.

Kate gives Louis a nudge during national anthem: “Louis, stand”

Later during the day’s formalities, Prince Louis showed off his cheeky side again - until his mom stepped in.

As the royals gathered on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the Royal Air Force flypast, Princess Kate was seen instructing her son as the national anthem began.

“National anthem. Louis, stand,” she told him, according to lip reader Jeremy Freeman via The Mirror.

Louis instantly snapped to attention. The seven-year-old may have been having fun, but he clearly knows when to play it straight.

“Ooh look at this!”: King Charles and William gush over flypast

King Charles, still undergoing weekly treatment for cancer, made a powerful appearance on the balcony alongside Queen Camilla, his children, and grandchildren. As the Red Arrows roared overhead, the monarch appeared visibly moved.

“Let’s have a look!” he exclaimed as the family emerged to view the aircraft, per lip reader Jacqui Press.

“Ooh look at this! It’s marvellous to look at,” he later added.

Prince William, standing nearby, chimed in about the rare aircraft on display.

“It’s two of those Lancasters,” he noted.

When young Louis asked, “What’s that?” George quickly responded: “The Poseidon.”

William confirmed: “The Poseidon did you say? Good!”—likely referring to the RAF's Poseidon MRA1 surveillance aircraft.

Matching outfits and military pride

Princess Charlotte and her mom turned heads in coordinated teal and white outfits, while Prince William arrived separately in full Welsh Guards uniform, his red tunic standing out sharply against the grey skies.

The Princess Royal and Duke of Edinburgh joined the mounted military parade, while King Charles and Queen Camilla waved to royal fans from their carriage.

Despite storm warnings and early downpours, Union Jack-draped spectators lined the streets in full force for the annual display of royal pomp.

Royals wear black armbands in tribute to Air India tragedy victims

This year’s parade carried extra poignancy. At King Charles’ request, senior royals — including Prince William, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward — wore black armbands in remembrance of those killed in the recent Air India plane tragedy that claimed at least 241 lives.

A palace spokesperson said the gesture was: “a mark of respect for the lives lost, the families in mourning and all the communities affected by this awful tragedy.”

A minute’s silence was also held during the ceremony at Horse Guards Parade.
