Jay Slater - a teenager from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire - disappeared while vacationing with friends during the NRG music festival in Tenerife.
On Sunday, June 16, Jay was last seen partying with his friend, Lucy Mae Law, at the Papagayo Beach Club in Playa de las Américas.
Instead of returning to their accommodation, Jay chose to continue the night with two British men, according to the Daily Mail.
The trio reportedly traveled by car to an Airbnb in the village of Masca - 19 miles from the beach club - located in the mountainous Rural de Teno Park area
Jay was last seen by a local woman walking away from the Airbnb - known as Casa Abuela Tina - after he had asked her about bus times.

Ofelia Medina Hernandez recalled informing Jay about the next bus after he missed it. Despite this, Jay decided to walk. Hernandez described him as "walking alone, and fast."
At around 8:00AM on that Monday morning, Jay called Lucy Mae to say his phone battery was nearly dead and he was lost.
Lucy shared: "He's gone on a night out, he's gone to a friend's house, someone that he has met on holiday. One of the people he has met has hired a car out of here, so he's driven them back to his apartment and Jay has gone there not realizing how far away it is.
"He's ended up out in the middle of nowhere. Jay was obviously thinking he would be able to get home from there. But then in the morning he's set off walking, using his Maps on his phone and ended up in the middle of mountains with nothing around. He rang me at about 8 o'clock morning saying his phone was on 1 percent."
Lucy added: "He said 'I don't know where I am, I need a drink and my phone is about to die.'"
It has since been made public that Jay also video called his other friend, Brad Hargreaves, while walking along the mountainous roads.
Using clues from Jay's last Snapchat image, she located the Airbnb on Monday and approached the two men inside.

"We managed to find the house. I knocked on the door and there were two people there," she said.
The men told Lucy Mae that Jay had gone out for a cigarette before deciding to go home. They mentioned he had spoken to neighbors who informed him about a bus to Los Cristianos every 10 minutes.
"The bus stop was right next to the house. So obviously if he'd gone to get the bus he wouldn't have got lost because it [the stop] was visible from the front door," Lucy Mae explained.
It was later reported that the two men had left Tenerife and returned to the UK after being questioned by local authorities.
Speculation has since surrounded the two British men who accompanied Jay north towards Masca from the festival.
However, the Spanish Civil Guard have now issued an update regarding the two individuals, per the Mirror.
Cipriano Martin, head of the Civil Guard’s Greim mountain rescue unit confirmed: "Those men have been spoken to and they don’t have any relevance whatsoever for the case."
Regarding the participation of Jay's family in the search, he stated: “All week they’ve been participating because we’ve seen them and they’ve seen us in several places. They’ve been actively participating.”

Today's "massive search" commenced at the Hilda viewpoint, near the location where Jay's phone last pinged.
The team includes around 30 professionals - comprising police, fire, and mountain rescue officers - and six volunteers.
