Amy Slaton Halterman, a star of 1,000-Lb Sisters, has been arrested and charged for drug possession and child endangerment, per reports.

Slaton rose to fame on 1,000-Lb. Sisters, which premiered in January 2020.

During the first season, she weighed over 400 pounds but later underwent gastric bypass surgery, leading to a significant weight loss of 136 pounds, bringing her weight down to 275 pounds.

It's been a turbulent year for Slaton, who recently went through a public and contentious divorce from her estranged husband, Michael Halterman, per PEOPLE.

The couple, who initially eloped in 2017 and later had a formal wedding in 2019 documented on the TLC show, separated less than a year after the birth of their second son, Glenn Allen, in July 2022.

They also share an older son, Gage, born in November 2020.

The most recent incident, which saw her arrested, took place at Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo.

Deputies from the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department responded to the park after receiving reports that a guest had been bitten by a camel, as reported by the New York Post.

Upon arrival, officers noticed suspicious odors emanating from a vehicle in the parking lot, leading to further investigation.

"The deputies were immediately overtaken by suspicious odors coming from the guest’s vehicle," the sheriff’s department stated.

Slaton was subsequently arrested and charged with illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs, along with two counts of child endangerment. The specific drugs involved in the case have not been disclosed.

Also arrested was Brian Scott Lovvorn, who was in the vehicle with Slaton. He faces identical charges.

Both individuals were booked into the Crockett County Jail, though further details have yet to be released.

There's more positive news surrounding Slaton's sister Tammy, who has been on her own weight loss journey.

Tammy is often sharing photos on her social media pages of her progress, including one where she is seen wearing a deep turquoise swimsuit with a design resembling mermaid scales.

The image quickly garnered widespread attention, with fans flooding the comments section with praise.

"Holy wow! The transformation is incredible! So happy to see how far you have come I may have cried a little," one user wrote.

Another commented: "Look at you, girl! That is a JOURNEY," while a third added: "You got to swim! So happy for you! I know how much you love to do it so that's so great to see."

A fourth fan remarked: "I know that Tammy must be so proud of herself. She fought the hard fight and made it when so many people wrote her off. Congrats girl!"

Other milestones Tammy has celebrated include walking without a walker or wheelchair, no longer needing oxygen at night, and being able to fit into a regular vehicle without using a seatbelt extender.
