Charlie Kirk appeared to predict his own death 11 years ago as a chilling tweet he posted has resurfaced following his assassination.
Kirk, 31, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA and a close ally of former President Donald Trump, was addressing around 3,000 people gathered in Utah Valley University’s outdoor quad on Wednesday, September 10, when he was hit by a single shot at approximately 12:20PM.
Kirk was responding to a question about gun violence at the time as video from the scene shows a member of the audience ask: "Do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?", to which Kirk replied: "Too many."
The person then said there had been five in 10 years and asked the Trump ally how many mass shooters there had been in that time. "Counting or not counting gang violence?", Kirk replied before the fatal shot rang out.
Eyewitness footage shows him recoiling in his chair with blood visible on his neck before collapsing, as panic erupted in the crowd.
Kirk's death was later confirmed by President Trump, who shared a tribute on his own social media platform, Truth Social.
Following the shocking news of Kirk's death, his followers found an eerie tweet from 11 years ago in which he appeared to predict his own death.
In the post, which was shared on June 23, 2014, Kirk had written: "Did I just get shot by an AR-15? Feels like it."
His followers quickly flooded the post in the wake of his death, writing: "how did he know," and: "Twitter done told the future."
Others added: "this is beyond uncanny," and: "Bro predicted his own death."
Authorities are yet to confirm the weapon which was used in the killing, however, they confirmed it had been recovered.
Trump had confirmed the news of Kirk's death, writing on Truth Social: "The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.
"He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!"
Trump's former opponent in the presidential election, Kamala Harris, also paid her respects to Kirk, writing: "I am deeply disturbed by the shooting in Utah. Doug and I send our prayers to Charlie Kirk and his family.
"Let me be clear: Political violence has no place in America. I condemn this act, and we all must work together to ensure this does not lead to more violence."
